Hi to everyone,

I have found a problem with this command, (-switch) I'm gonna explain what I was doing when it happened.

1)
My friends and me were playing a 4vs4 game SingleDraft mode , then we put to shuffle the team, then 3 begginers were randomed to be in the same team, so to balance the teams, we used the -switch command.
Alright, we changed the team, but the 2 players who moved to the other team couldn't select a hero from his circle, then we used -switch to go back to the original team, and guess? There were no hero either. I think it's some kind of problem that rarely happens, for that no one noted before, normally people select the hero before using the -switch command.

2)
I think something is unfair, like we were playing a 5vs5 game, then a player in the opoonent team left the game, alright. Then another player from the opposite team left too, so it became a 5vs3 game, so we decided to use the -switch command to make it a 4vs4.
Now the unfair part, the team who got 2 friends out of the game, benefited from the gold and itens of the 2 heroes who left plus the hero of my team who moved there. I mean, they got the money and itens of the 2 heroes who left, got feeded for that, plus my friend moved to their team with his entire loot and gold. And, of course, we got in a big monetary disadvantage, since we lost a hero full of loot and they got it for them, not forgeting the loot from the other 2 who left the game.

1) Maybe you shouldn't switch without picked hero? Replay?

2) Not a bug. Its just switch, what do you expect?

JUST REMOVE THIS FUCKING SWITCH COMMAND! Sorry, but this mode is shit! If there is a solution to make it fair after switch, the command can stay in the map. Just what Tutaha said. It's imbalanced after switch! They get more gold, then another player -> the other Team -1 player.
My solution: Remove the switch command!

You know near every game in BNet is -so game... If I type -no more player will leave cause they think it's imbalanced... it is imbalanced after switch!! NOT when someone leaves! It's a fact... and not only I say this... much more player say this. But I am not the MapMaker of DotA, so it doesn't matter what I think or some other. I just don't like switch... it destroys the game!

My solution: Remove the switch command!

-switch ruins the games, but the game is not competitive because it is a pub, and people don't care about the imbalance it gives, else they would not use it.

If you type -no and people leave, then that's just their problem. Try hosting your own games without -so, and you should be fine

Sure I can host my own game, but I have some problems... just a few player see my game. So I wait and wait and maybe in 5min if noone leaves I have a full game.

This Forum was not made a for balance discussions last time I checked.

Which version did you use, was it Beta 3? If so, did you try to reproduce it? Did you try it in 6.61b to see if it was 1.24 Beta 3 related?
