Thats right. Whenever I'm trying to make nice looking effects, I use dummy units with the model I want. But there is a problem, not all effects can be sized (for example giving a unit the 'Disease Cloud'-model and sizing it will not increase the cloud, but will mess the model up). I think thats because some effects use particle emitters (is this the right name?) to spawn effects. Those effects can't be colored or sized.
So just use a trigger: Whenever someone casts an ability (EitF?) Create one sized dummy unit with owl model (and locust ability, to prevent taking influence o the game) at that spot and don't forget, to remove it when the tree dies. However, these dummy units are visible to all players without coding, and I don't know how to change that since I don't use any special programming language. This can't to with normal triggers. |

The concept is good, but I don't like the effect. Maybe add the old EntF effect to the trees.

since it is only visible to allies, more eyecandy won't hurt...so the owl fits IMO...the old EntF effect was lame lol~

but maybe we should also add an indicator to the mini-map that there is an Eyes in the forest tree in an area...
