Q : i watched a few youtube videos, however, guys didn't explain what exactly a ganker, pusher, initiator, carry or support is. Another thing, i had a look at control keys and didn't get anything.
movement and attack keys ?
ganker,pusher... ?
how to rotate the camera in the game in all directions(left, right, downwards, upwards) ?
A : A = Attack key
M = Move key
Ganker = Hero that can go to other lanes and kill enemies easily
Pusher = Hero that can destroy towers/buildings easily
Initiator = Hero that initiates the fight (jumps first)
Carry = Hero that needs items and experience to be effective (aka late-game heroes)
Support = Hero that are more useful early-game/mid-game and have skills that help other heroes
A2 : Kuku! Sorry if I post in a bad way but I'll help you nonetheless! To make it easy for you, I'll let Kotake do the talking!
Kukuku! Hmm...
There are many types of hero classifications in DotA as what you have said, and I'll explain them to you as short and as informative as I possibly can!
Ganker - A hero/group of heroes that goes to other lanes to kill an enemy! They are like roamers(people who go around the map killing heroes or supporting allies that would take kills) but are mostly just there when they're near the lane! Like when they take a rune, and is near a lane with the right opportunity to take a kill! Sometimes their kills are planned like murder but sometimes it's just accidental! Their main goal is to take on enemies lower than their numbers(like 3vs2;5vs3) and ensure that they'll be able to kill certain targets! Sometimes, as what I've said, they just go for the kill without any specific targets!
Roamer - People that go around the map! They just go around there finding enemy heroes to kill! Sometimes they are solo, sometimes there's two of them! Normally a good roamer is someone that has a stun/disable and good mobility that can go from lane to lane and has enough mana to help out from switching in-between lanes(Like Rylai and Venge)!
Pusher - A hero more fitted to stay in lane and destroy the enemy structures! They are one of the key heroes that can make a game end very, very fast! Normally, a hero labeled as such has either a skill that deals damage to towers(Like Pugna and Leshrac) and can obliterate a whole creep wave in seconds, or can summon units(Like Broodmother and Furion)! They are essential to the teams because they give out bursts of money for the team(from towers) and gives a pretty nasty handicap on the enemy team!
Initiator - These guys makes a clash successful for they are the ones that start it! Normally initiators are heroes with an area skill that is a "stun"(like Magnus and Leviathan ) and are normally obliged to have a "Blink Dagger" with them so their entrance is precise! It's normally followed by an area nuker like Nevermore!
Carry - A hero that carries the team! He is essential for the team's victory because he would be the one with the most items in game! He would be the one who will get all the kills, farms, and gold sources if possible! He is the main reason why supports exist, and without him, well, supports would still be in very big use because they're the ones the carries rely on!
Support - A support is someone whose main role is to just help the team in every way possible! Like planting wards, buying crows, dusts, gems, and everything else that the team needs! Supports are mostly the ones with the less gold(because it normally goes to support items stated above and boosting the carry's gold by giving him tangoes), and are normally the roamers! It is very hard to be a support, but in my opinion, it is the most rewarding!
Nuker - A nuker is someone who deals "MASSIVE" amounts of damage in one blow! They are anyone with a skill that can deal magic damage ranging from 200 and up!
Spammer - They are heroes that can use their skill again and again and again! Take note that an "autocasted" skill is not considered as a "spammable" skill because they are meant to be one! But who knows! Kekeke!
Tank - A tank is someone with massive amounts of health and can take major blows off from the enemy! They can be anyone that can take on a beating because of their skill and natural attribute!
Movement keys is only the right mouse button! Just press it and it would make your hero go there!
To use skills, press the skill's hotkey or press the icon with your left mouse button and point the mouse to your target, and press the left mouse button again to release the skill! Take note that not all skills works this way! Some are passive, some are active, some are global, some are area skills, and some are channeling! You just have to try them all out to know(or if you're not lazy enough, just read the skill description and you'll be fine!)
To rotate the camera... Well, I dunno! I think it's still the Insert button to view left, Delete button to move right, Page up to go up, and Page down to go down, or did I mess them all up? Kekekeke! Back to you Koume!
Kukuku! So there it is! I hope this helps you on your journey!
