HOW TO SHARE THE EARNED KEY WITH YOUR FRIEND?

What steps should be followed if your friend requests a key for a game on steam ?
First, he/she should be your friend.
Second, he/she should be online.
Then,
You have got two options to go(if you earned it from pd and needs to activate on steam):
1)Either, as an owner of the game already, activate the game key by typing it "on your own" then send the key your friends.
That way, steam displays you a message telling "you have already owned" the game.
Though, no problem. Once you send the key
to your friend, HE/SHE WILL BE ABLE TO
DOWNLOAD THE CLIENT (CONFIRMED)
HE/SHE WILL GET TWO INVITES AS BONUS!
2) Or, don't bother for the first thing. Just
send the key to your friend. May he/she
activate it.
