Before the Switch command was introduced, i played many games of DotA, and seventy percent of the games were nice and orderes games, only thirty percent of my games were leaver games. All in all it was fun to play DotA, and even one game a day could be satisfying.
After Switch got introduced, I have (SERIOUSLY) about ninetyfive percent leaver games, that end up in 1v1 situations with 2 lvl 25 heroes that have all their items and just play along, because they know if they quit now, they will join another game which will be a leaver game too. I need about 10 games a day, until i get lucky and have a 5v5 game, that ends with the same player count as it started. When I am winning, (of course) the enemies (at least one of them) leave and we use switch, I experienced that I couldn't win any of these games anymore, because the hero that once got babysitted by me, now goes for my ass. Since switch got introduced, I don't have any more fun with playing DotA, everytime I join a game, I hope that this one will not be a leaver game, knowing that it will be one anyway...
In the past an immediate remake was the answer to leavers. Now ppl think that switch is the better answer to them, but its not. They just don't seem to understand, that changing a winning team will rip the balance (balance in my eyes doesn't mean that two teams are equally strong) of the game apart. I think switch is not balancing games, but unbalancing them. The only fair way of switch i can think of is the bringing-two-friends-together situation before picking any hero.
IceFrog, as brilliant as he is, this is one of the worst ideas (if it was his idea) he ever had. I am actually thinking of quitting DotA, until this command gets removed again, since u can hardly find any games without switch anymore.
