Ok I just finished watching it
-during the laning phase, you need to summon forge spirits the moment you have the orbs to invoke it so you can lane control better and harass your opponent -there should be more usage of ice walls, I saw very few of those in team fights, I think a well placed ice wall in a team fight will probably do alot more for your team than any other spells -when enemies are sitting in base by the tower, the best nuke in that situation is EMP, because of it's low mana cost and you don't need much positioning and it usually hits them unlike a meteor where they can easily dodge -You need to use your forge spirits much more, just have them at your side at all times -less random sunstrikes on a pack of creeps because it does very little damage to them collectively -could use more defeaning blast aside from saving it for only the combo of meteor+blast, use it when people are getting low hp and ready to run away, it can buy you some time to finish off that fleeing enemy rather than preparing for a sunstrike -remember to use alacrity when pushing towers and rax! Overall I think the biggest problems are just the lack of forge spirits and icewall, other spell usage will be better with practice but pretty damn good for your 1st game, I don't believe you!! XD |

IM BASING MY ANSWER IN THE LAST COMMENTS BY IINVOKE AND THE PARSER, sorry if i fail
if you maximize exort and quas without a single level of wex at the beginning you have to spam FORGE SPIRITS and use a lot of ICE WALL. then .. i recommend having an early level of wex .. for invi meteor and defeaning blast. at clashes if you have aghanim playing exort quas this spells should be used. before clash cast forge spirits cast meteor defeaning blast combo cast ice wall cast cold snap if needed use tornado for heroes which escaped finish with sun strike in the part of ice wall meteor defeaning cold snap and tornado, this spells i mentioned should be used in a way you feel the situation will end better. (i usually start the fight with ice wall then i throw meteor and defeaning combo ) hope i helped ![]() Edit: i usually go for power treads if i play EQ invoker.. but phase is good too. i LOVE to watch your replays jackfrog, but i dont have time right now

watched till ~43 mins, seriously need to go sleeping...
Use cold snap more, that skill is a hack. It's not as fancy as the others but it is one of the strongest kills because it is rather easy to unleash it's potential. In lane, you'll be giving hits instead of trading, later on it's just a spell with 0 cast animation, huge range and insane effects. I don't know what your build was. Personally I don't like to go for those jack-of-all trades type builds where one gets aghanim and 4 levels of all 3 orbs. It somehow works, but basically it just converts into an extra tornado and better alacrity in your arsenal at the cost of your other spells. If you go EQ just get 4 levels on both of them, spirits allow quicker leveling and they should be almost always up. They cost like 75 mana and duration is good enough not to restrict the use of your other spells. So when you have 4 E (or 4 Q if you needed the regen), level the other for spirits. Some random icewall usage there, idk, don't use it on creeps, cast a spirit or something to slow them down. You don't need to level invoke always when it is up. First level gives just the ability, second an extra invoke (which is sometimes even skipped for later for earlier spirits) and the final level is when you really can start cycling through your spells, esp. with agha. Don't get agha too early imho, I usually prefer something like Linken, Quinsoo etc. or even smaller items like a Force to be gotten before the aghanim. It's really only a necessity for the QWE -wannabeeverything- builds, and I don't really play those. You don't need to use, and shouldn't, use all of the spells in your arsenal early on. Of course it helps you with spell cycles and so on, but for example, casting alacrity early on is quite often useless, unless it is for some early game laning. Rather throw in spirits, meteor, deafening, cold snap, ice wall or any of the other more useful spells in your arsenal. Play more, sunstriking creeps etc. is generally bad and things like that can be easily recognized by simply trying out. Basically these days the spirit build EQ is the best way to go even if you could somehow counter the enemy team with QW. Not always, but quite often. With QW I often find myself spamming tornado + emp just for the annoyance but never really winning, with EQ I don't burn mana but burn their health and during the phases of the game when something is not happening, I can farm with spirits. |
