Default [STR-SENT] NyxChrome , Iron War Golem


This is my first time suggesting a hero so please help me with the balancing and such and do comment

INTRODUCTION



Summon NyxChrome the Iron War Golem

As the goblins were looking for shelter during the war, they found a cave and thus took it as home, until one of the goblins went too far in and found an Iron War Golem. Accidentally activating it, NyxChrome, the Iron War Golem awoke after centuries of being shut down by the Scourge. The goblins took it to the Sentinel base and showed him to the Prophet, and based on intuition, NyxChrome realizes what he is made for. Magnetism grew inside him whilst being shutdown for centuries in the cave, and thus, being able to control it. NyxChrome now fights for the Sentinel, bringing it mighty pack punches to foes and stunning them with the magnetism inside him.

Strength - 23 + 2.5 (Main Attribute)
Agility - 20 + 2.2
Intelligence - 16 + 1.7

Learns Mighty Punch, Force Blow, Armor Shed and Magnet Heart

Attack range of 128
Movement speed of 295

HERO ABILITIES



Mighty Punch

Punches a target so hard that is knocks back and does damage to an area

Level 1 - Pushes back 300 units and does 80 damage to an AoE of 200
Level 2 - Pushes back 350 units and does 150 damage to an AoE of 250
Level 3 - Pushes back 400 units and does 220 damage to an AoE of 300
Level 4 - Pushes back 450 units and does 300 damage to an AoE of 350

Targets a unit and that unit will be knocked back for the specific range (think SpiritBreaker). Damage and AoE damage is done first before the knock back. The range is the same as Dragon Knight's Dragon tail skill

Duration is 1second over through the knockback
Casting Range is 128


Cooldown: 10 seconds
Mana Cost: 90/100/110/120

Force Blow

Using its magnetism inside it, NyxChrome channels the energy and releases it through its fist, giving a huge blow of energy. The energy gains more power the further is goes, thus, stunning the enemy the further it is from the blast.

Level 1 - 80 damage
Level 2 - 140 damage
Level 3 - 200 damage
Level 4 - 240 damage

Basically, this skill stuns the target the further it is from NyxChrome. It stuns for 0.5 seconds per 150 units, thus, at level 1, it can stun for 1 second max and 1.35/1.7/2 for the following levels. At melee range (128), this skill WILL NOT STUN

Duration is 0.5 seconds per 150 units
Casting Range is 300/400/500/600


Cooldown: 12 seconds at all levels
Mana Cost: 120 at all levels

Armor Shed

NyxChrome removes some of its armor for extra movement speed and attack speed

Level 1 - -2 armor but gains 20% more AS and MS
Level 2 - -3 armor but gains 30% more AS and MS
Level 3 - -4 armor but gains 40% more AS and MS
Level 4 - -5 armor but gains 50% more AS and MS

Kinda a tweaked 'sprint' and mask of madness, this skill WILL make you lose armor (receives more damage) but you will gain more MS and AS, can be used to chase down heroes or escape

Duration is 4 seconds at all levels
Casting Range is none


Cooldown: 18 at all levels
Mana Cost: 80 at all levels

Magnet Heart

NyxChrome uses the ability stored within it to pull an enemy hero towards it, while dealing magic damage to it and purging it.

Level 1 - Pulls the targeted enemy hero 300 units towards Nyxchrome , dealing 200 magic damage and purging the unit, removing any buffs. Deals 1000 damage to summoned units
Level 2 - Pulls the targeted enemy hero 400 units towards Nyxchrome , dealing 300 magic damage and purging the unit, removing any buffs. Deals 1000 damage to summoned units
Level 3 - Pulls the targeted enemy hero 500 units towards Nyxchrome , dealing 400 magic damage and purging the unit, removing any buffs. Deals 1000 damage to summoned units

Note that if the enemy hero is already closer to Nyxchrome than the pulled range, the enemy hero will stop exactly in front of Nyxchrome (in melee range, 128)

Casting range is 600 at all levels
Cooldown: 80/70/60s at all levels
Mana Cost: 150/200/250 at all levels

9/5/2011 : Changed Magnet Heart again and removed Shining Armor.
13/5/2011 : Changed backstory and icons (thx to Fade2black.Go!)
11/8/2011 : Changed backstory again due to it being exactly the same as Dark Seer's backstory, sorry for not realizing it because I thought it was a suggestion LOL (thx to Lord_Talron for pointing that out)
15/11/2011 : Reworked ultimate!
5/10/2012 : Buffed Armor Shed so it scales better and costs less

Mighty punch could be interesting. That will work for competitive play.

Force Blow is too basic. Think of something else. (i do see the synergy with 1st skill, but meh)

Iron Knuckles is boring its basically a stronger headshot.

Armor pass is an interesting skill. Very weak imo, except for that 60% ms.
The concept however seems contradicting... You don't want to buff up your enemy's armor, and you don't want to reduce your ally's speed. this needs to be fixed.

general comment: too much knuckle/punch/fist based abilities, one is enough (Mighty Punch) change the other 2.

Well tbh, I have an ultimate that is something like Force Blow up in the Ability suggestion section, but mayb it just seems to b abit force synergy between 1st and 2nd skill. Mayb i'll tweak the ultimate and make it as a normal skill instead.

All in all thx for the feedback, but lets see other feedbck 1st before i make any changes

Skill 1, an AoE force staff? or leshrac additional skill when ult? but that's not a big problem..
Skill 2, it has similarity with mirana arrow but different way to use and shorter range..

your skills can't synergy well, only skill 1 and 2 have some synergy, but it's still too simple, make it more complex so ppl need some skills to play this hero
remake the skills, make it synergy with other skills..

give us pros and cons of this hero, and tell his role on the game...

Just to make sure, skill 1 is not an AoE Force Staff, but it does act like a force staff, only it needs to be in melee range and it does damage to an area before pushing the target unit away.

But its true about the 3rd and ultimate, so it will be changed! thank you for pointing that out

So, to get 5 charges he need to get 5x300 = 1500 damage? the charge can be accumulated and there is no interval time before the charge lost? that would work but need some time to gather the charge...
get 1500 damage is not an easy task, and will be easier if u are a tanker, but this hero has a skill to reduce his own armor greatly, he cant be a tank with skill like that...

The 3th skill contradict with his ulti, i know you want to make skill like that, but it just doesn't fit his ulti, change the -armor skill, in fact this guy need +armor and -MS instead (don't reduce the AS, cause your ulti give additional damage, and it will be for nothing if u reduce the AS)...

the other thing that come into my mind is, lets say u don't have time to gather the charges( u being pushed over and over, or u push them over and over), the only way for you to get the charges is from a clash between your team and enemy team, they could just ignore you and go after your team, and u without shining armor is pretty much useless..

your 1st skill and 2nd skill have synergy
if u change the 3th skill like i suggest then it will be synergy with his current ulti

but his 1st and 2nd skills don't have synergy with his ulti, why a tanker want enemy heroes to be pushed away from him?

I need more feedback based on concept first before i can state most of these, but i can roughly tell you some of the contents you want.

Pros : Has early ganking potential with Force Blow + Mighty Punch combo , has a escape/chase skill , teamwork oriented.

Cons : very mana/item dependent , needs communication to use , can be bullied by -mana heroes

Role : Ganker / Support

I like your hero dude, but the thing that bothers me is synergy, you have only 2 synergies.
I think your synergy is using 1st skill then 2nd skill. Then 3rd skill to 4th skill
Maybe make all your spells synergizes ALL each other.

Actually , this hero's role is gank/support. There is actually synergy with the 1,2,3 skill as well. Punch away, force blow, and run over there with extra MS + AS. Cant chase? Ulti Before this my hero had too much synergy it seemed forced. Not all heroes must have all four skills that synergizes.

Why? Passives are boring I used to have a passive that works like MKB + Aftershock but people said its boring and so forth. + this makes him more mana dependable
