Is it simply too good? I mean even with good awareness in the early mid stages of a game its very hard to detect a gank coming with smoke. Wards are useless for this and sentries really do nothing. Smoke basically garuntees at least 1 kill maybe more and is pretty uncounterable.

I would suggest a longer CD in shop and a higher price imo maybe 250 to put it higher than wards.

No, I am not saying this because I get owned by smoke ganks, but a lot of heroes are not viable now because smoke is just so cheap and used so much.

IMO it just warps the early-game and forces the 2 hero perma roam strat to be good.

I think you can break pugna's life steal if you use smoke while it's active,though I'm not sure since it happened with ai it could be a bug.so can anyone tell me if this is true?and would it also work against mana steal and damage steal?

The AI map probably also allows you to dodge stormbolt based spells as well. Ice fixed this in a patch shortly after the item was release so afaik there is now an AOE check before the invisibility is applied.

The AI map probably also allows you to dodge stormbolt based spells as well. Ice fixed this in a patch shortly after the item was release so afaik there is now an AOE check before the invisibility is applied.

so smoke probably won't work the same in 72,I should still check it out anyway

the smoke doesn't do shit in early competitive game. it sucks. the overpowered stuff kicks in at late stage of the game. remember how nirvana.int lost the game to IG at gamescon, cause those idiots used fucking smoke to gank the greatest DotA player in the world PAJKATT (THE COWBOY BOOTS - BEYOND GODLIKE - PRO OWNER - OVER 9 K GOLD ON VOID - FULL BUILD - IMBA SHIT - PIECAT).

i beg to differ...since early game is the best time for supports to roam and gank carries to fvck up their farming.
