Default Mass Effect 3 Discussion Thread

synthesis is decent, but still quite sucky.

they didn't even explain how the hell that works. for example, how would edi be synthesized? will her processor in the normandy become a blob of flesh and circuitry?

I blame my boredom for that, I was pressing space so much while talking to Alenko. I wanted Liara, now I'm restarting all over again.

''Had'' doesn't matter, ''Is'' what does.

"Is" is pretty much in effect since I caught them in the gun battery. o:

Well, at least Garrus won't be doing too much calibrating anymore...

In my second play trough, I wanted a relationship with James Vega, but later I found it it's not possible, so I ended with Kaiden.

Unlike in my other relationships, Shepard showed some real emotions. From the lesbian reationship you get just some fanservice for people who can't get a girl.
2 girls under a shower, OH MAI GAWD!!!! SO HAWWT!!!! Nope.
Just shallow fanservice.
How dare someone say that the ending was shallow and than have a lesbian relationship!!!

The straight relationship had some emotions, but mostly generic stuff. More like GlaDOS.

You did not preorder Mass effect 1. At first gay relationship was possible with Kaidan Alenko, but they removed it later. However the conversations and the scenes are still there, you just need a console command to unlock it. So I did not save my bro in ME1 I saved my lover.

ok, just wanna ask, what are the benefits of being a renegade? cause from me1 me2 and me3 I was pure Paragon.

anyway...I wish that there would be a DLC where you play as a regular soldier in earth, I like the feel of the last mission on me3 were you fight in the rumble of London(correct me if I am wrong).

*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*
*POSSIBLE SPOILERS*

Let me start by saying I really had high hopes for this game. The storyline in the series is really well built up and almost every character you meet feels like they belong in the Mass Effect universe.

So I recently got the game, despite some people saying the ending was kinda lame, I thought "no, theres no way there can be a dissapointing ending... I trust in the developers"

But then... Holy crap, that was a bad ending :/ No matter what you do, it feels like you fail. I just feel like all the hype and build up of storyline was worthless. I know there are 3 different endings, but they all feel this way somehow.

Sure, those Hollywood endings where everyone survives get boring but c'mon!

is it like an assault rifle or a sniper rifle or does the shooting mechanics resemble the "Hunntsman" crossbow in tf2 ?

Yeah, the projectile arcs and doesn't hit instantly, so it flies like the Huntsman arrows (though the harpoons don't glow and are much more difficult to spot, so you can't track the projectile as easy as you can in TF2). Apart from that, it's basically like the Widow (1 shot per magazine, so you need to reload after each shot). It has less zoom than other sniper rifles though.

You mean like, a real ending?
That'll be released for free in summer. Apart from that it will be called Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut and will hopefully fix the ending, there isn't anything out about that yet.

I have a question: in which part of the game (1, 2 or 3) is the best music in your opinion? For me it's Mass Effect 2. I will never forget Suicide Mission soundtrack.

Definitely Mass Effect 1. One of the most epic soundtracks in game history (well for me ofc.) Even main menu theme was great. And i cant describe what i felt, when i ended the game and the Faunts - M4 part 2 started to play... Even now, when i listen to that song i got chills, so amazing.
ME 3 soundtrack would be probably in second place, for me. Quite epic too. ME 2 soundtrack wasnt so great comparing to ME 1 and ME 3, but still, it was quite good.

^ Kinda more epic than the original one. Or maybe I just got used to listening to the original too much. xD

I played ME and ME 2 as a good guy. Ashley is my choice of romance. Then I had an affair with Mirana (?). Haven't played ME 3 as I heard it was so bad. So I am disappointed. It's like you are stopped from your climax. lol

Just your daily reminder that ME3 ending is not real, but a fight in Shepard's mind against reaper indoctrination.

And no, DLC wasn't supposed to prove indoctrination isn't real, just to provide better and more belivable ending.

Indoctrination theory was much better then what we've got. But at least we make them working instead of just changing colors in videos.

Mass effecg 3 is the best game overall in the serie imo. I i really hope that the indoctrination theory is true.

In ME1, the combat is bad and the leveling system is confusing, however in ME2 they improved the combat but over-simplify the leveling system, making the game become a TPS with a little bit of RPG.

They fixed that in ME3. The skill branches and the weapondry are great. And the cinematic cutscenes are awesome.

Ending is the only flaw in Mass Effect 3 and its not even that bad, its just a small flaw and they fixed it as much as they could with extended cut (free DLC). ME3 is the perfection of its genre, hands down.

Yeah, the Mass Effect as a whole was one of the best things in the video games industry, I can't disagree with that. But the ending(s) was just... I wasn't dumbstruck or depressed as the majority of fans seemed to be when the credits rolled out, but it really, really, and I mean REALLY let me down. Not because it wasn't that Hollywood-style 'everyone survives' ending, but because it really lacked any sort of sense or good execution.

Agree. I've spent more than 40 hours in this game (just 1go. I've decided to play this game 3 more times) and just because of the bad ending won't make me forget about the moments i've enjoyed in the whole serie.
