Any mods for greater view distance ?
If you look far mountains and plains look like plasteline without mods

Edit : Right now i got all the recommended mods from modsreloaded.com and im waiting for steam to download it. Its gonna be really epic !

Edit: I dunno where I saw it but it was in a mod list of some sort. It was something like this, explaining how "oblivion" would look like while hovering in the air, but it doesn't give out the mod to make the view better, but it does give a little modification in the game that might solve your problem.

I guess you're aiming for a really good view in Oblivion, so these screenies might interest you.

The mod I have to have such effects is Natural Environments(the whole pack) only.

They could've been better if I had more mods, but my laptop can't handle it too much.

Extra: This place is from a sidequest, that's why the coloring and textures are different. It's a really beautiful place, you should look for it. Sad thing is that it's only full of trees.

Yes its the quest where you get into a painting to rescue the artist and he gives you arrows with solvent or whatever its called to kill the paint trolls. You can also get paint troll fat there which is worth arround 30 golds.

I also installed an oblivion overhaul and natural enviroments. It looks really good and i can run it at 1280x1024 8x Anti Alliasing and Bloom. The load times are a bit increased as i have an overclocked 1.86 Ghz core 2 duo @ 2 Ghz

You should really install Qarl's texture packs as well, they replace pretty much every single piece and particle in the game with higher resolution ones; a prerequisite in upgrading the graphics of the game.

Oh wait, I have Qarl's texture pack. I thought it was used to "lessen" the graphics so that low-end pc's can handle the game better. Well, anyways, that's that.

Description-
This is a full version of Qarl's Texture Pack III, with patch v1.3 already installed, and then created into an OMOD. I did no work with the actual textures, all I did was combine Qarl's TP3 with the newest 1.3 patch, and then made it into an OMOD. I found this very helpful, because it is much easier than manually uninstalling and installing all those different textures and meshes, with the OMOD, all you have to do is activate or deactivate the mod, and Oblivion Mod Manager takes care of the rest.

What Does It Do?-
This mod makes most of the textures in the game sharper and clearer.

Features-
* Most textures are 4 times the size of the originals. Some, even more. This makes things seem much clearer and sharper in-game.
* A large number of meshes have been altered to take advantage of the game engine's parallax shader.
* Only parts of the mesh which NEED parallaxing have the parallax flag enabled. This removes unwanted artifacts parallaxing can cause around corners.
* Textures which use the parallax shader have been altered at the mipmap level so that things look very 3D from a distance but do not get the soupy artifacts associated with the parallax effect when viewed close-up.
* Advanced normal map techniques used to make landscape textures seem very 3D.
* Landscape color maps and normal maps edited at the mipmap level to reduce the tiling effect in the distance.
* Mesh fixes from the Unofficial Oblivion Patch are included.
Things retextured:

* Architecture
* Landscape
* Rocks
* Dungeons
* Blood splatters, falling snowflakes, butterflies
* Furniture, and other medium-sized clutter

Things NOT retextured:

* Clothes, armor, weapons, creatures, NPCs
* Foliage, the sky
* Kvatch, the Arena, and the Oblivion realm

Requirements-
This mod greatly enhances the graphic detail of Oblivion. Therefore, you should probably only install this if you have a farily high-end system. I am currently running an 8800GT with 1280x1024 resolution, 4x anti-aliasing, and max graphics, and with this mod installed I average around 45fps.

I just got a copy of oblivion on steam to avoid redownloading it everywhere from piratebay and mess with stuff. Will i have any problem modding it ? Also should i make this topic a general regarding oblivion mods etc ?

I've bought the GotY from Steam as well and had absolutely no trouble with modding it, so you shouldn't experience any difficulties you wouldn't otherwise (archive invalidation, load orders and conflicting files).

Nice , thanks for telling . I miss my pirate crew xD. i forgot to ask about mehrunes razor etc.. if i install it from piratebay will it work normally on the legit oblivion ?

They are all included in the GotY, you don't need to install them seperately.
If you don't have it (which is ~10 € btw) I don't know.

The open cities mod in the recomended list didnt have a working download link so i found this
