There's many items that is more valuable than scepter.

If your playing on a global mobility or split pushing strategy then it's amazing. It's also fantastic if you can farm it really early or if the enemy lacks stun's/disables but has lots of damage.

It is an ok item. Gyro w/ Scepter will never be as bad as FV or CM w/ Scepter.

It's not an end unto itself. If you're already partway into the game and wishing your team had an AA (or a second AA), or you think it's going to be a long turtle match, it really is a good benefit.

It just has nothing to do with Gyro's other purposes and the reason you picked the hero to start with. Team games are better off with specialist participants, not generalists.

it's great if the other team has an ult spamming furion. really hinders his ability to push an offlane while you team push.

Gyro is such a great pusher w/ Aghs and Flak. Call Down is so great because of it's versatility w/ Aghs. It's core, at least for me.
