Default on the subject of doombringer


He got severely nerfed. Check the buff/nerf list of the latest patches.

His armor has been decreased to 0, and starting Int and Int gain reduced. Scorched Earth nerfed too.

He used to be a perma-ban.

Sort of because ever since 6.66 he's recieved a shit tonne of nerfs making his base stats 10x worse than before.

He's still quite good. But he's no longer the sort of 'cast doom and 4v5' but more like 'cast doom and 4.5 v 4' as he really lacks much utility apart from doom imo, unless farmed.

His laning is also pretty horific unless he gets troll priest devour.

Well, I have a lot to say for him.

Devour: a pretty good skill as is. Even with the level restriction it is a huge gold making machine. Only problem is the neutral creep abilities aren't bad, but doom can't utilize them well in the early mid game where they shine because of his mana problems. Getting the hellcaller or centaur is nice, but you barely have enough mana for SE, a single lvldeath and doom.

Scorched Earth: This skill in my opinion could use a buff. The fact that it is only used for the hp regen and movespeed(mostly movespeed) for escaping seems out of place. I think instead it should grant something like more dps or an armor bonus if more survivability is needed. As it stands you will still die rather quickly if you get focused, and you will do very little dps to enemies around you. At least reduce to cooldown if it is going to stay the same.

Lvldeath:similar to creep abilities in that it may be a useful and awesome nuke with a short CD, but doom's mana problems make it very hard to utilize. I would say just a slight int buff so he can actually use it twice in his full rotation mid game.

Doom: a very good ult. Only complaint I might have is the range of it, because by the time you are in range for using it, the enemy expects it. If you're playing omni and see doom advancing, you know what is coming and will back off or get ready to repel. I would still be ok with how it is though.

stats: needs an armor buff early game mixed with better int. He currently is a naked baby with a mana puddle. Just slight buffs like giving him a possible 2 or 1 armor at lvl 1 and making his int just large enough to cast lvldeath a second time in a rotation would help him immensely.

Actually devour is good at countering Chen and Echan. And Doom is great. Lvl?death is his weak point. It does hurt a lot, but unreliable.

Shitty laning? His high base damage and scorched earth paired with the right starting items can dominate almost any opponent

its abaddon that has the ability to get it off, if timed right.

anyways, I go for him having some armor. 1 or 2 is good enough.
I do well enough with him, managed to farm up a radiance quickly with the help of devour and a midas hand(first time I used this item).

People used to pick Doom to counter Morphling. But now, even with all the Morphling picks, you don't see any Doom counter-picks.

It is clear that he is utter crap now.
