Default Support-Player LF Players/Team

TL;DR: Swedish Chen-focused player searching for a player/group of experienced players to play some public games with. Have no issues with playing on the US realms so feel free to contact me through Steam if you're interested, cheers!

Update: Pretty much the same as last time, perhaps more interested in just public games right now as my time is rather limited, currently trying to find a player or a group players to play public games with. I'm getting close to 300 Chen-games combined with my two accounts, and what I would like for now is to be able to improve even more with better teammates and opponents. Let me know if you have a spot for me in your stack! Would prefer if you have at least 300-500 games won.

Instead of editing the original post (please read it if you haven't), I'll include a few updates here instead. I've played quite intensively these last few weeks and I would like to say that at least my Chen-play (which has exceeded an amount of 200-games) has reached a new level. While there's still room for improvement within the micro-area, what I now need is more practise within competitive DotA. I've been playing quite a lot with a group of American players and despite the latency (~100) my Chen-play has been working quite fine. There have of course been situations where the delay has caused a Centaur Khan-stun to miss, but it's quite rare. Either way, as time has passed since the surgery, I have now regained my ability to speak rather clearly. As I'm returning back to work in a week, I'm not too certain that my schedule will fit my current group of players. So.. if you're a group of players (American or European) with the ability to speak English fluently, playing at a rather high level of DotA and aspire to enter the competitive scene, then please contact me either here or through steam (Snith), cheers!

Hi there!

My name is Oliver Snith, I'm 21 years old and I live in Sundsvall, Sweden. As my dedication to DotA has grown a lot over these last couple of months since The International and my invitation to the beta, I thought I'd take one more step into the world of competitive DotA.

Background
I was first introduced to DotA about five or six years ago. As I assume most others do, I began playing casual games on the battle.net-servers. As time went on and my knowledge about the game increased, I wanted to take it to the next level and joined an in-house league, this being dotapickup. I joined pkp in june 2008 and has since then played DotA on and off among with several other games. I've always had the goal to become a better player, and taken the necessary measures to get there.

Beginning with Counter-Strike 1.5, I've always had a leadership-role within the games I've played (now I want to make it clear that this is not a requirement for DotA 2), acting as both "In-Game Leader" as well as "Guild Master". I believe this, the role to control the flow of the game, is what initially made me interested of becoming a supportive player.

Experience
Unfortunately I do not possess that much experience within the competitive DotA-scene other than a few CW's a few years ago. However, that's why I'm here. I'm in the search for a group of players that would be willing to dedicate some time into playing and trying out a few games with me. I do want to believe that I'm not totally new to the idea process of competitive DotA, but there might be a thing or two that I need to learn.

Role
As far as my playstyle goes, as I mentioned before, I'm a supportive player. Almost a pure one, as I hardly, unless required, play other roles. I can't say that I'm comfortable playing the entire DotA-roster, but the majority of them. As far as I can tell, I do know my way around the support-characters.

These last few days (I had a somewhat major surgery done to my jaw last thursday) I've taken upon myself the challenge to improve my Chen-play. I've spent a great deal of time watching Na`Vi.Puppey among others. I've been going at it like crazy, with approximately a hundred games over four days. As for the future, I don't plan to change it. I'll be moving back to my apartment (been living at my mother's house due to required supervision after the surgery) as soon as possible and I won't start work until the beginning of August. The sad thing, as far as the coming weeks goes, is that my ability to use voice-chat is rather limited, since my jaw is pretty much static since the surgery.

Request
My one and only wish is to be able to improve my gameplay, and right now, as Chen, being matched with the players that I'm currently being matched with does not let me do that. The capabilities of the players are completely random, and as I'm set on playing as support, my impact on the game is reduced. I've come to the point where my micro can still be improved, but what I need is to be matched with competent players. Now I do of course have friends with greater Win/Loss-ratio than my own, but they are either busy on their own, or they're playing their own skirmishes.

It would be great if you are a group of four players, in the need of a fifth, but even if it's just you and you're reading this and finding yourself with the wish to play with me, please let me know! I'm a long way from being a DotA-expert, and even if it's just for a few games, if you're able to provide me with some constructive criticism, that would be great.

Please note; I have no issues with routing or bandwidth alike with the US realms, and as I'm fluent in English, there's nothing to suggest that I wouldn't be interested in playing with American player/s as well.

If you have any questions or alike, please write them down below. If you wish to play a game or two with me, I can be found at Steam by name of Snith, cheers!

Regards,
Oliver

I've updated the thread, see the original post, and I'm now once again searching for either an American or European group of players!

I've added you on Steam, I don't have a team myself, but maybe we could play some pubs together. :-)

Bump, gotten a few decent friendrequests these last week but I'd still prefer if your total amount of games won at the very least exceeds mine. The reason I'm playing public games at the moment is not to play against worse players and improve my win-rate, it's to face better ones. And as the matchmaking is primarily based on wins rather than your win/loss, I need someone who's played more than me. Feel free to post here when you add me, just so I know where it's coming from, cheers!

Cheers mate, I just added you. As said my time is currently rather limited, but I will be switching workplaces in the near future which will open up alot more freetime. I'll be quite busy these two upcoming days but if you happen to find me online, I'm always up for a game.

Bump, still looking for either a well organized team, meaning that I'm the fifth, or in rare cases, the fourth player to join, as well as a player to stack with when it comes to public matchmaking. You should have at least 4-500 wins as well as a winratio above 53-54%, preferably above my own. You should also feel comfortable playing solo on the safelane as well as the offlane (if the setup of our opponents requires me to go to the offensive forest) with a large variety of hard-carries.
