Title: SRWare Iron
Description: Iron is a webkit-based open source browser that is very similar to Google Chrome (both are based on Chromium). Iron has several benefits over Google Chrome, privacy enhancements in the foremost (Google Chrome sends data to Google, Iron does not). Another improvement is that autoupdates are disabled, giving users more control over their bandwidth and browser. SRWare Iron is compatible with most, if not all Chrome addons, and is a very fast browser like Chrome. Personal note: I have found it so good, in fact, that it has been replacing Google Chrome as my secondary browser.

Title: Comodo Dragon
Description: Iron is a webkit-based browser that is similar to Google Chrome (both are based on Chromium). Dragon is provided by the company that makes the professional Comodo Internet Security antivirus and the Comodo Firewall. Unlike Chrome, Comodo Dragon allows you to disable autoupdates, and has several other security enhancements. Comodo Dragon is compatible with most Chrome addons, and is a very fast browser like Chrome. Personal note: There is one addon in particular (Chrome Toolbox) that did not work properly with Comodo Dragon.
Title: Kill Copy
Description: The title 'kill' is somewhat misleading, as it doesn't actually kill anything. Kill Copy is used for copying files, very similar to Tera Copy.
Note: Tera Copy should be removed from the list of free software as it causes fragmentation by default. Kill Copy resolves this issue.
Category: Office Suite
Title: Libre Office
Description: Open Office is no longer being developed, and Libre Office is the open source fork that continues to provide an excellent product.
Note: I have heard a rumor that Open Office is in development again. However the little that I have tried both, I've found Libre Office to be better.
Category: Download Accelerator
Description: Orbit Downloader, leader of download manager revolution, is devoted to new generation web (web2.0) downloading, such as video/music/streaming media from Myspace, YouTube, Imeem, Pandora, Rapidshare, support RTMP. And to make general downloading easier and faster. Personal note: I have tested several downloaders and have found Orbit to be superior. It is quite awesome.
Description: Everything search engine locates files and folders by name on your local machine instantly. It uses indexing to search, is extremely lightweight/fast, and has real-time updating. Personal note: Every once in a while you come across an application that is so brilliant you have just got to have it. Everything is one of those.
Description: Open-source encryption software. The best available.
Main Features include:
- Creates a virtual encrypted disk within a file and mounts it as a real disk.
- Encrypts an entire partition or storage device such as USB flash drive or hard drive.
- Encrypts a partition or drive where Windows is installed (pre-boot authentication).
- Encryption is automatic, real-time (on-the-fly) and transparent.
- Parallelization and pipelining allow data to be read and written as fast as if the drive was not encrypted.
- Encryption can be hardware-accelerated on modern processors.
- Provides plausible deniability, in case an adversary forces you to reveal the password:
- Hidden volume (steganography) and hidden operating system.
Warning: Backup a drive before performing full drive encryption, as all data will be lost and will be unrecoverable if a power failure occurs during the encryption process. Usage of a UPS is recommended.

This is incorrect. Aurora is the alpha development channel for Firefox, and will always be in alpha.
Firefox has four channels (to my knowledge)
Stable (Known as Firefox)
Beta (Known as Firefox beta)
Alpha (Known as Aurora)
Nightly (Pre-alpha that is updated... nightly)
Though I personally use Aurora instead of Firefox now, and have thus far found it very stable, I'm not entirely sure it should be added to the freeware list, as it is the alpha channel for a software that is already on the list (Firefox).
In a nutshell, Aurora is Firefox. It's simply two versions ahead of Firefox stable.

Agree 100% with this. I have tried many IRC applications, and XChat-WDK is the best by far.
