A good Lycan destroys any of the heroes mentioned here. Lol'd at beastmaster, razor etc all just powercreeps for lycan. slardar is just a walking stun for lycan because at the time lycan gets his bkb (15 minutes) slardar will have nothing to become dangerous unless extremely fed

also lol at bane, sleep him, then what? you think lycan doesnt have a team? take away his damage? bkb. ulti? does bane has a bkb as early as lycan? i think not

roaming doesnt work either. lycan has a team too. you can gank him 1,2 maybe 3 times but at some point of the game you have to look at the other lanes , a good (note:good) lycan will still find ways to get xp and farm, and in the end you will be 5 levels below him and wonder wtf happend.

lanaya and naga siren are annoying for him, literally cant solo kill lanaya and she does a lot of damage

you cant stop him if the player is competent, game will be over at 20-25 minutes. hes the best carry in the game, dont see him picked alot because hes boring as fuck to play

doesnt mean he cant lose tough. if his team is shit he cant do anything later in the game

I personally don't like to waste time countering him with ganks etc. it just buys opponent time and freefarming lanes with potentially other dangerous heroes.

you can ward neutrals though to reduce camp spawns.

WHat I do is asking team to pick a strong pushing/counterpushing lineup including an ulti that goes through BKB and I pick a hard carry that shits on lycan (morph and the like...).

When enemies are done fapping to my team and I had 30 min free(more or less)farm I shit on Lycan' face and it makes me jizz.

Not saying this is a fantastic idea but I was once playing Omni with a Tide on Dire. I warded his small camp.

Once we reached level 3 (2 points in Purification/Gush. 1 point in Degen Aura, Anchor Smash) we just ganked him in jungle and managed getting 3 kills on him before he was level 6. We also stopped him from Roshing and forced teamfights so he had barely any items for the majority of the game.

Slardar, Razor, Beastmaster and Naga counter Lycan really well and my personally favourite Bane. Basically heroes with disables that go through bkb are Lycans worst enemy.

Naga is ''annoying'' for him? Did you even read what i wrote at all? Also nagas tide will rape Lycans low armor. That you can not beat Lycan in pubs is because you are new to dota, not because he is overpowered, trust me. If u actually played against a really good Lycan then you could whine about him being unbalanced. But at your skill lvl you will not meet any good Lycan players.

1. Gank him and you will be fine

The problem with Lycan is, that he can actually win ganks 1v2 if you do not have 2 really good nukers. The dmg of his lvl 3 wolves is just insane on low levels. Last time I did this with I dont know which heroes, we could bring him down easily to red hp and then Furion ported in and killed us together with the freakin wolves I dont say you cant gank him, but it is not as easy as for some other Junglers. And the enemy on your lane gets freefarm for that time.

2. Counters

I liked picking Bane vs Lycan for obvious reasons, the problem is that your ultimate is channeling and you might get interrupted or killed while you hold him in place. I think the idea of picking Razor and get Link pretty early might work well, but if Lycan doesnt get disabled and is smart, he will break the Link fast and easy through his max speed. So you might even need to max Link first, to make the drain fast enough.


The worst on Lycan are his wolves imo, because they give him such obscene earlygame dps Without this advantage he would have something like a vulnerable phase like every other carry...atm Lyca is a dmg-machine from lvl 3 to lvl 25.
