Base Attack Time

How long it takes for your hero's attack to cool down after 1 attack and be ready to launch another attack at 0 IAS.

The formula for attack time is:

BAT/(1 + IAS)

Where 40% increased attack speed is equal to an IAS of 0.4

So BAT basically mean attack speed? And what mean IAS?

IAS is Increased Attack Speed. The attack speed bonus from items/some skills, that is.

BAT is fixed for that particular unit model. Most heroes have a BAT of 1.7. The lower the faster (because Attack Time is essentially cooldown for attacks).
