Why ES isn't more picked in competitive games?

In Dota 2 you can hardly use anything but fissure before blink comes online. Especially with the current picks.

A TC would fit far better right now. He can do similar defensive stuff compared to what ES does with a fissure, while still being able to whack enemies down and do a solid counter-initiation without needing a blink dagger. He can go for a more supportive role or play more around of his damage, while ES is pretty much one-way-highway.

Chinese play him a lot, or used to. Same thing with OD, which I stated on the OD thread.
