so people saying they see difference but could you be more specific, what kind of differences do you see between 60 and 120 fps? I mean it should be already smooth?

for me its the same. Companies need something to sell their products you know. Next year they might start selling 180 fps screens and advertise them with hot gameplays

-The game runs of course more smoothly. Which results in that he heroes feels more alive. A huge part that I need in games. -The teamfights feels less "messy". I got a better perspective over the battle due to the part over^. -Better control of some heroes. Especially when i play Storm. For exampel: Balling In -> Hit a hero -> Vortex -> Hit -> Remnant -> Hit -> balling a small distans to get more Overload charges. I feel that this combo runs more smoothly, and I can react faster with 120 fps, then 60. Same goes with playing around with invokers spells. That's about it for me. But it's such a huge part of my gaming experience that I think it was worth a year of savings for a new top computer and screen. And no, I didn't buy the computer for DotA 2. I did it for overall gaming. But in the end, you also need a screen to support it |

With a Monitor that has an appropriate Hz you do see everything more smooth above 60 FPS. That can be confirmed.
However you do not get Better Control or Faster Reaction or whatsoever, that is what you think is happening due to a more smooth picture. |

Hey everyone, I created that system requirements box, (as well as the whole page), although I only transferred the information from the main infobox.
I intend to source it once the system requirements are posted on Steam, but as a point of curiosity, does anybody have the full system requirements for Mac/Mac OSX? Only the PC system requirements were originally transcribed into the article. |

I'd really love to hear your definition of a "shitty PC" then. Because what you said is complete bullshit.

I have Pentium Dual-Core E2160 running stock @1.80 GHz, 2 GB of DDR2 ram with nVidia 9600 GT as the GPU. 25-30 FPS on 1680 x 1050 (60hz) is pretty much the constant with this setup... with shadows on low and everything else maxed. So yeah: 1080p @60fps on shitty PCs? Horseshit.

Why you guys want a big screen on a bad pc anyway? I'm happy with 50 fps in my 1280x1024 screen.

I play with 800x600 resolution fullscreen and every setting lowered so that I can achieve my 40 fps that goes down during team fights.
