Default Latest tech purchase thread

I am just wondering how would you transport your desktop pc from one country to another 'safely'? I am from SEA and most likely going to the US in a year or so.

Just wondering if I should get a desktop now that I can carry it to the states without any parts getting rekted into pieces or should just wait until I am there to build one.

Remove large expansion cards.
Remove large CPU coolers.
Remove hard drives and wrap them in lots of padding.

Gtx 970g1. From gigabyte. Overclocked to stable 1530 core. Now equals a stock 980 in firestrike. 330$ amazing value 😀 also got a corsair h80 and 8 gigs more ram. Hello Dcs World 2.0!

I paid the normal price of $660.
I bought it for video rendering purposes, although being able to play CS:GO at infinite fps is nice.

^IKR?

I'll probably wait till DX12 to be more stable before I overhaul my rig; I'm planning my next upgrade at 2016/17 most likely, while relying on PS4 for most AAA games.

Running all games I need close to 144 fps on gtx970 1080p - also what the fuck do you mean that you blew 700 shekels on gpu for video rendering purposes.

If only games you play is from 3+ years ago that isn't hard (nothing wrong with that ofc). I could do that with my 770 given modest enough settings.
