LYCANTHROPE'S COSMETIC REMAKE

Greetings DOTA Community! Here I am again proposing another one of my cosmetic changes but this time its for Banehallow the Lycanthrope. Banehallow has a couple of cosmetic changes that i want to suggest hence the remake. The following are: 1.) Summon wolves models 2.) Howl casting animation 3.) Shapeshift animation (end animation as was suggested by terresquall that is half-implemented) 4.) Shapeshift model now lets go on with the suggestions: |

======================= SUMMON WOLVES MODELS ======================= Currently summon wolves have the following animation below: ![]() I'm not really a fan of the tinted model and looking at the color-coding of the wolves it lost its player color identifier (from level 3 onwards) making it confusing even in same hero death-matches where you see more than just one tinted black wolf attacking everywhere... I propose the following color-coding: ![]() the following summons uses the "dire wolf" model and has the following color scheme: 1.) level 1 = red 255, green 255, blue 255 2.) level 2 = red 200, green 200, blue 110 3.) level 3 = red 200, green 200, blue 80 4.) level 4 = red 80, green 100, blue 40 The proposed ones doesn't lose player color (user friendly in the heat of battle even in same hero death matches) and no more total black tinting. Only cons here is that people are used to the black wolves at level 4. Now where did the old model go? You'll find out later as you read the thread. |

======================== HOWL CASTING ANIMATION ======================== Currently when Banehallow casts the howl skill there is no attack animation. Observe as he just stands there idly for a second or so then he can move again (looks really wrong)... Current animation: ![]() So I propose this animation where in he does this animation: ![]() Not too much to ask here... And no nerf here since the delay time in standing idly is the same as the casting animation. Maybe development team just forget to place an animation because older version had an animation. |

======================== SHAPESHIFT ANIMATION ======================== I was glad IceFrog implemented this suggestion by Terresquall but it was half implemented. It should look like the following: ![]() Problem here is that the current animation only proceeds with steps 1 and 2. The current never had the animation on step 3 which was the original suggestion. Please try the test map and see for yourself when shapeshift ends it has an animation. Please add the last bit of animation in the ultimate to make it look consistent and epic

======================== SHAPESHIFT MODEL ======================== The current shapeshift model looks like this: ![]() Ah yes the normal looking dire wolf model. And to add up, it is transparent that's why you can see the color out of the skin. Problem with the wolf models is that when you make it transparent it shows too much color. It's good for summons... But for the main hero its just too much. 1.) So i'm proposing first is to make the shapeshift model solid and no more transparency. 2.) Second to make it look more epic. He is a bestial avatar (based on background story) so why not use the spirit wolf model: ![]() It looks stronger and more intimidating than the current one used. Pros: + Has bracers (proposed) instead of just wrist bands (current) on the legs for hero color + Has hero glow (cool!!!!) + Has cooler critical hit animation + No MSI on all suggestions! Cons: - People are used to the old model Please see the test map also. This test map was created by Terresquall because of the shapeshift animation. So credits goes to him. Thanks Terresquall for your wonderful suggestions to make dota cooler. And thank you IceFrog for implementing his suggestions. I hope this one goes through with the community and the game. You have 2 damaged images, fix them if you can. Also, I T-Uped at DA, since every terresqual sugg is excellent, so as this one. I know that part about half-implemented thing.

Hey OP, have you considered adding some dark attachments to the feet of the wolves and/or Lycan when he is morphed? I really think It would look even better

You know I was thinking about that yesterday but I think it would collide with "weave" by Dazzle when he casts it. Also its the best dark attachment there is,the same goes with Balanar's current Hunter in the Night, but both are already taken .

I think the shapeshift model proposed here is better than the current one in all point.

Lycan graphics are already good, don't think you should change them if a change happen ok but i don't really see a need to change it.
