The item is not bad in concept (read: it's better than 80% of the unreasonable thing they propose in this forum), but feel really a bit off in design.
For example i'd remove the bonus agility on insanity. I understand you've used Armlet as an ispiration, but armlet give strenght, and strenght give hp, that armlet in itself doesn't give (it give armor, damage and ias). In this item Agility give ias that would overlap with the ias the ability already give. Why not giving simply damage or more ias then? The users will understand better the real benefit of the item at first glance. Also, insanity is debatably worse than Berserk. 15% more damage on you is a lot, and i wouldn't exchange 20 agility for it, especially on non agi-heroes. If anything, i'd make the bonus damage lower, to give a real differentiating trait from berserk. Berserk make you take a lot of damage, this does not. Giving 20 more ias or 20 more damage feel less "different" than making it not damaging you, imho. Or even etter give it a damage numbing mechanic. You take 30% less damage now and then 30% more damage then ? Create a parallell with the old 30% bonus too, looks better overall (keep in mind that a "numbing" mechanic is REALLY STRONG, so you'd have to balance it differently). All random thoughts, take them as you like.

Look my reorganization of the weapon shop for: • Organized shop layout (ala Sena the Accesorizer) • More unique +dmg items (BoA ,Broadswoard & Claymore) • Items and recipes are more logical and intuitive • Hammer is the old Javelin (the %chance fits naturaly in Basher + Mael) • Desolator is now made from swords and more! |

Concept-wise : I'm leaning towards a negative in terms of the aura. Mask of Madness is typically gotten on a hero that specializes in fighting solo against another hero (such as Barathrum and Void), so having an aura that benefits nearby allies (and in such a small way) seems... arbitrary. I would opt out for it and instead make it more aggressive -- perhaps make it add a debuff to the enemy you attack, instead? This would also fit its theme better -- when you're berserk, you do not go "ok guys, let's get 'im!" -- you rush in alone.
In terms of overall... this item might work. I've been wanting an upgrade to both Eaglehorn and Mask of Madness for a while now (and its similar to how Helm of the Dominator + Reaver = Satanic). Outlook : Good.

So its a gimped up MoM with Centaur Khan and Alpha Wolf benefits. Reminds me a bit of Bloodfrenzy. Oh, and Meve, perhaps check Bloodfrenzy for your concern.

I love the first bow for icon. DotA lack of bows.
For numbers, I think the active ability is bit OP. If you consider 100% AS, 20% dmg is quite powerful. I think bonus damage is unneeded. Also, I think "rampage" as the active skill name is better while the bow name is something else....

Remove "can only carry ONE" from the tooltip coz it isn't matter, imo.
And don't make it doesn't stack with boots Coz it makes this item to be an anti boots item. Insanity is nice but the taken dmg is too much. Madness, is it stackable?

So what if a huge wave of creeps (say ten) is reduced to below 40% due to ally spell casters. Would that mean gaining an instant +100% bonus damage, and for how long?
