Practise with bots first (Duh), learn the heroes, roles (If you want to play support, learn how to ward too) by guides and videos.
I would suggest Orge Magi for you.

Windrunner
Lich Venomancer Buy wards. Stack then pull creeps. Harrass the enemy heroes in your lane. Deny your creeps. Pay attention to the map. Once you got these things down, then you'll understand one thing: play a carry or you'll lose because you'll never be matched with adequate players. |

Lion, Lich and Venomancer are probably the easiest Supports to use
Chen, Visage and Ancient Apparition are probably the hardest Supports to use

You must understand the game itself to win. Some heroes I can suggest for new players would be Dragon Knight and Ursa.

Ehhh.
The easiest hero to use I would say Skeleton King. Just slam them with your stun and right click to victory. The easiest support however.. Rylai - AoE nuke, Entangle, a nice mana aura and a huge boomstorm around you for her ultimate. Ogre - Spam all his skills, finish. Lion - Stun, disable, mana refill and probe of death. Warlock's not that hard too, he has a heal, one almost useless skill and another skill you click on heroes to bond them together. Ultimate summons a bigass golem on fire.

Bloodseeker is by far the best noob hero. He has an excellent attack animation, is relevant at all stages of the game, and teaches good habits like lasthitting and denying, ganking, using spells situationally, and a little bit of mana management without being unforgiving.
Skeleton King is actually not that noob friendly. He requires you to be extremely careful with your mana, has a slower animation than a few melee carries, and lacks farming ability, plus his ultimate can be useless if you are ganked. |

knowing what your enemy can do can also help you in your games. Do a lot of reading and bot matches.

Go for Ogre Magi, playing him teaches you the importance of working with your teammates.

If you are looking for a basic hero and are playing at a low lvl, I doubt you'll find working with teammates very useful.

But Orge Magi is still the best hero for the beginners.

LICH IS THE ANSWER
Skill your E skill and use it to deny your creeps before they get close to opponents. Keep the armor skill up on yourself and any allies near you. Press R when there is a teamfight and deal enormous damage. That's really all of the advice you need to play him. You can buy the courier too because lich doesn't really need items. Lich has big positive impacts even with very little effort. |

You mean he has an amazing slow, one completely useless skill and another skill you click on heroes to bond them together.

Wow. Everyone in this thread has its own definition of "the easiest hero".

Lich is easy for beginners as you literally have to put effort into doing badly with him if you want to fail with Lich.
Frost Blast is great harass. Put Ice Armor on auto-cast and forget about it. Sacrifice your own creeps to deny and never run out of mana. Use Chain Frost when the enemies are clumped up together.

You cannot build a shitty Lion. You can play it like trash and you can make poor item choices, but at the end of the day he's one of the only heroes in the game that actually comes with everything he needs. Two fucking sweet disables and mana refills means that a 0 items Lion can still cruise around lategame and support other heroes just fine.
