any trigger on/off skill will still work while disabled (stun/silence). lesh ult and pudge rot will still work once its on before being disabled. they just wont be able to turn off while disabled.

I actually like the idea. At least temporarily stopping morhing while being silenced...

Yes, it does need to stop when he gets silenced. If it stops Permanent Invisibility, which is a passive, I don't see why it shouldn't stop Morph.

Yeah! Agree with OP. After I read OP's post, I feel a little weird on my sig and I think the public should know about it too.
I am wondering why I keep saving my sig(from User CP) as ,Quote:
my sig still appear as this ?Quote:

It's not a passive it's a toggleable skill. In fact you can just leftclick it and morph 1 time, so autocast just casts it again and again. So just do not cast another instance when you are silenced/hexed/stunned and SHOULDNT BE ABLE TO CAST A NEW SPELL.

Not saying he shouldn't be balanced, but why all the sudden hate on morphling? He isn't even a ban priority yet, and there are plenty of other strong picks. Is it because he is a carry, which makes it appear like he is too strong? If he really was as brocken as everyone in this thread seems to say he is, wouldn't he just be a top ban like lycan or naga, DS?

What if Morph was changed to a channeled ability with a cooldown? It would still retain the original concept (switch between glass cannon and tanky) but it wouldn't be a bullshit ability on a hero that already has 2 escapes. So instead of just temporarily stopping it while silenced, you can completely shut it down.

Something should also be done about Ethereal Blade just usable by Morphling. The fact that he can easily 2-hit a support at range is just ridiculous.

He would still have 2 escape mechanisms, would still be able to eblade supports to death, would still have 300 agi lategame. He just wouldn't be hilariously overpowered.

As the only dude here who believe morphing is not oped, i agree completely on this tweak. not because it's oped ofc, but because it's very cheap.

As I posted somewhere else, the concept behind Morphling is nice but it ends up being too powerful in general. The concept of being able to switch between DPS and survivability is nice, but lategame a morph can go full agi morph and still have a lot of HP, 40 base armor, 300 base damage, etc. He ends up being unkillable and having way too much DPS. Of course the counterarguments will be the same as with any other carry: 1. Gank him and you'll be fine 2. Push and end before he comes online Gank him? Good luck with that. Not saying it's impossible, just disproportionately hard. Push before he comes online? Despite carrying hard, his early game isn't even weak. He's just too strong at any given point in the game.

Better disable the ability to cast Morph while disabled. Right now you can cast it while stunned, you can't cast it while silenced. So I'd say, if you're stunned - you can't start morphing, but it still continues if you started it before the stun/silence.
Reason 1: Let's not make Morph completely useless, hurting his most important skill too much. Reason 2: If you can disable him before he casts Morph, that will be your reward for a good gang. Right now it doesn't really matter how good your gang is since he can use Morph anytime, so the only way to ignore Morph in the early game is an overkill - like 1000 burst damage.
