Default [ITEM] Death Staff

Death Staff:

Alternative icon:

Before:
+ 7 all stats
+ Ghost Form
+ 10% lifesteal (orb effect)

After:
+ 8 all stats
+ Gains 10% received damage back to health upon being attacked
+ Dead Form

Dead Form:
Put the target into a mentally dead state, thus making it unable to sense the mortal reality. Due to that, it won't die in this state but it will receive more damage from attacks when this state ends.
+ Possible target: you, allies or enemy units
+ Makes target immortal
How to do it:
+ Completely heal the target
+ Pseudo heal (you can call it 100% Backtrack or Refraction without instances)

+ When this state ends, remove the amount of hp the target was healed when you used this skill and deal the damage received in this state and 44% bonus damage to that target. Damage type is direct health removal.
+ Note that healing effect won't be disabled by this skill, meaning the overall damage will be reduced by the amount of hp the target was healed in this state
+ Lasts 4 seconds and has a 25 second cooldown

Reasons:
+ Mindgame quality You don't get it? Noobs would pray that they wouldn't die and pros' brains would explode because of overusing You wouldn't know if you were dead or still healthy, had 1% or 100% hp
+ Buffing Ghost Scepter's usefulness of course

Uses:
+ 4 seconds before death (tanking ...) can also be used as an emergency aid before the healers can heal you.
+ Scaring (or mindgame), mentioned in the Reasons
+ Various uses that your crazy heads might discover

TC;DR version:
The unit with Dead Form status can't know its actual hp, can't be killed (and of course spells can still be cast on that unit) but will receive amplified damage when the duration ends.
Well, the truth is that all players can't know the affected unit's hp.

It's not really that complicated, I just tried to make it as detailed as possible
Yes, you can say it's somehow like Shallow Grave. But most of the times it isn't since the damage dealt after the duration will likely kill you.

- Give a recipe for Ghost Scepter


Cons:
- Will be kind of like Orchid was cast on you
- Unstoppable/Undoable once activated-
- There is no way to know how much damage you are going to take
- Gold could have been used on something else (not that it should have been)

The red part is not very accurate Why would they stop attacking you knowing that you will receive more damage?
And the blue part should be there

A cool and interesting item that i would like to see in DotA.
I think you can use this item really well on many different ways, witch is perfect for DotA.

# You could use it just before you start TP home to base. Will make you survive the TP and get healed in base. (not dieing).

# You can use it when you are at 10%hp, then the effect wont matter, if you die after its no big deal. cause you would probably die anyway. And if you survive its just good :P making you at least stand in 4sec. (making you sure).
Using it at full health is just stupid. (if i got everything right).

I like the Mask of Death in the item, and the Ghost Scepter. But the TelePort just just not fitting in the item concept, sorry.
Shadow Grave form Dazzle is nearly the same, but this is still great and xtram cool!

Over all, a nice idea and a good icon, no fancy name on the item, a nice item for dota ( fits perfect )

that ghost staff sure needed something like this coz its really not famous yet
But if it will be made an item required for a good recipe like this

If a carry can activate mask of madness and armlet 4 hp from death and wipe out the team then he should go for it. T-Up if you can keep the duration short as hell (no more than dazzle's grave). Although, if you think about it, this will be like giving spectre a huge bomb once the duration is over (everybody run out of dispersion range) because if spectre accumulates a lot of damage this could hurt and this could also allow visage time to regenerate his armor. Would you consider this item imbalanced if used on those two heroes specifically?

Oh man...

The ultimate item for mind games. If I understand this correctly, any unit with this cast on them, won't know if and when they are being damaged. Basically, this item stops a hero from knowing what their ACTUAL health is XD

Uhm, so you can't get stunned etc. while in this state and they can't cast spells on you, yes?
Then it would be great for supporters like Lion, which have to get their spells out quickly before dying.

They can stun and cast spell on you ...
