Default [REMAKE] - omniknight -> degen aura


changelog

[ UPDATE, 24.11.2009 ]
-> changed the aoe to balance the skill, changed aoe from "300/500/700/900" to "200/400/600/800"

[ UPDATE, 23.11.2009 ]
-> added tooltip from linkyaw, thx
-> removed the 0,5 sec stun
-> fixed the numbers to keep them similar to the current ones, changed aoe from "400/600/800/1000" to "300/500/700/900"

[ UPDATE, 23.11.2009 ]
-> increased the cooldown of "Overwhelming Faith" from 15 -> 45
-> increased the manacost of "Overwhelming Faith" from 100 -> 150
-> decreased the stunn duration of "Overwhelming Faith" from 1,2 -> 0,5
-> added an skill info



why a remake for this skill? because in my eyes, this skill is a bit useless, because of the small aoe. i do not know players who lvl this skill early, so this is one of the reasons why I would add this remake.

with the remake you get a huge aoe and because of the x% slow every 100 units the balance should be ok. so please post your feedback to my remake.

Burden of the Heretic

Tooltip:
Slows enemies by a maximum of 8/12/18/24% at level 1/2/3/4 at 100 AoE from Omniknight. Every additional 100 range will decrease the % by 3 until the enemy exits the Aura's AoE.

I'd like some reasoning for why this should be implemented and what is wrong with the current skill to need such a radical change.

So let me get this straight. The slow only happens when the target is facing towards him? So that means it is only useful when he is running away or on foes trying to kill Omniknight (and definitely not the other way around)? Hmmmm..... I don't know.

my idea is mor like this (red point is omni):


its like a zone base aura. when you get closer to omni, the enemy becomes slower. so this is not only good for escaping also for chasing. when the enemy is under the effect of the aura, you can stun him and get very close.

LOL, I had a very similar skill on my Paladin suggestion....

Hmm... I think current degen is good enough. Yes, it has small AoE. But your suggestion needs quite close AoE too to make the slow significant... Null.

Oh, took me a while to understand... At level 4, it's 30% slow at maximum (100 AoE), and decreases by 3% each 100 AoE until 3% at 1000 AoE.

Remove the stun and I'll T-Up it.

And here's a additional tooltip that might be helpful.

"Slows enemies by a maximum of 12/18/24/30% at level 1/2/3/4 at 100 AoE from Omniknight. Every additional 100 range will decrease the % by 3 until the enemy exits the Aura's AoE."

thx for all the feedback. i removed the stun from the skill and fixed the skill description for better understanding.

the stun was part of the skill, because i used my suggested skill 'temporal impact' as source for this suggestion^^

nice, but reduce the slow a bit more...because: currently, the slow is superb, its 28%, but you have to get FUCKING close...if you make that remake, you will slow a bit and then you can get closer, and the nslow more, and get closer ,and finally reach the 27% slow! (almost same..)

so actually this is not a remake, this is an IMBA BUFF

make it like 25% or less

i think i know what you mean. once the ms of omni is higher than the ms of the enemy, the enemy will never get way once affected by this aura.

what i can do is change the aoe again a bit:
200/400/600/800 and you get this slow -> 6/12/18/24%
