The songs I included are the GOOD songs, and by far Glass Prison is the most creative 12 suite song. Shattered Fortress is a combination of the rest of the songs.

I listen to artists which are considered progressive for their insane talent to combine long-known instrumentation and compositional elements to 12 minute repetitions of riffs involving ubercomplex chord progression which sound no better than regular Em7-G-Dsus4-Asus7 riffs, but that lead to certain CTS since you have to move your fingers over your fucking fretboard more hysterically than an epileptic having a seizure could ever dream of moving his limbs.

TL;DR: Look at me, I'm cool I play 12-tone rock music.

They have to listen to other alternatives like Symphony X, Porcupine Tree, Fates Warning, Redemption, etc. Progressive metal is NOT only Dream Theater (even though they're gods). dream theater is a joke, LaBrie is the most average song writer in the fucking world, his lyrics can sometimes be laughable. Therefore, i cannot listen to Dream theater.

I know this thread is dead already but, the people saying dream theater is a joke, mean that their music is not at all as complex as everyone makes it out to be, in fact it's pretty simple.

They don't mean they suck, they just mean there's progressive music more difficult than dream theater.

And yes, I like dream theater.
