Grothorned, The Kodo Rider

Name generated, but fits greatly .

Vote on concept, not numbers!

INTRODUCTION

Summon Kodo Rider
Hero history:

Before being wasted in the battlefields of the Outlands, Grothorned was celebrated as one of the fiercest warrior of his brethren, the Orcs. When war came and the Pitlord took control of the land, He was one of the leaders who resisted them, but failed. His soul and body was then saved by a powerful warlock under the Pitlord from total destruction with his brethren.
As a restless spirit which was changed from good to evil and has already stretched his past experiences, Grothorned has sworn to his self the life he would take from those who fought him, eagerly and ruthlessly with his enraged demonic kodo.


Strength - 28 + 2.7 (Main Attribute)
Agility - 23 + 2.2
Intelligence - 11 + 1.0

Learns Devour, Earth Crusher, War Drums, Raging Kodo.

Attack range of 425.
Movement speed of 275.

Devour (Active [D])
Devours a creep that provides the kodo rider an additional hitpoint regeneration. Gives half of the gold that could be earned by killing the target.

12525 secondsMelee-10 secondsDevoured creep adds 5 HPregen. Can only target enemy units and creeps with level below or equal to 2.
23020 secondsMelee-15 secondsDevoured creep adds 5 HPregen. Can only target enemy units and creeps with level below or equal to 3.
33515 secondsMelee-20 secondsDevoured creep adds 10 HPregen. Can only target enemy units and creeps with level below or equal to 4.
44010 secondsMelee-25 secondsDevoured creep adds 10 HPregen. Can only target enemy units and creeps with level below or equal to 5.

Can't target heroes ofc. Stacks with itself (the HPregen), but doesn't longers the previous HPregen bonus.





Earth Crusher (Active [E])
The kodo starts stomping the ground stronger causing earthshakes, damaging nearby enemies and buildings and slowing enemies for 3 seconds.

16018 seconds-2504 secondsEvery 150 distance travelled stomps the ground dealing 30 damage and slows movement speed by 10%.
27016 seconds-2504.5 secondsEvery 150 distance travelled stomps the ground dealing 40 damage and slows movement speed by 15%.
38014 seconds-2505 secondsEvery 150 distance travelled stomps the ground dealing 50 damage and slows movement speed by 20%.
49012 seconds-2505.5 secondsEvery 150 distance travelled stomps the ground dealing 60 damage and slows movement speed by 25%.

Every 150 distance it travels, 30/40/50/60 is dealt to enemies and enemy buildings in a 250 AoE. Slow does not stack with itself, only the duration is longered. Damage type - physical. This skill must have no casting animation and must not stop the Kodo, because it's kinda chasing skill.





War Drums (Passive)
Kodo Rider strikes the war drums inspiring his beast to rumble into battle, increasing movement and attackspeed every second. Whenever Kodo rider receives damage, he loses the rhytm, decreasing the beasts mood and losing 4% of the gained speed upon every attack. Passively grants 4% movement speed bonus.

LvlMana_Cooldown_ Range_AoE_Duration_Effects
1-3 seconds---Gains an additional 1% attack and movement speed per second.
2-3 seconds---Gains an additional 2% attack and movement speed per second.
3-3 seconds---Gains an additional 3% attack and movement speed per second.
4-3 seconds---Gains an additional 4% attack and movement speed per second.

STACKS UP TO 36%

What it means? If You have a level 4 of this ability, after 8 seconds (if wasn't attacked) You'll have a premium 36% IAS and IMS. If You'll go for a gang and someone will attack You, You'll loose all the gained AS&MS after 9 hits. However, if You'll be not attacked, You'll attack and move much faster for a better synergy with 2nd skill and Ulti! If You were attacked while having any bonus from WD, AS and MS will start growing again after 3 seconds unless You're under attack. Description by Light-Coke. Isn't it perfect? =)





Raging Kodo (Active [G])
Allows the kodo rider to walk through all units, buildings and trees. Whenever a unit is passed, it takes some damage and it's knocked back. Whenever a building is passed, it takes half damage (can't be knocked back). Destroys trees. Also increases the movement speed of kodo rider.

LvlMana_Cooldown_ Range_AoE_Duration_Effects
1150120 seconds--5 seconds60 damage per unit, 30 per building. Increases movement speed by 15%.
2150100 seconds--6 seconds100 damage per unit, 50 per building. Increases movement speed by 20%.
315080 seconds--7150 damage per unit, 75 per building. Increases movement speed by 25%.

Can't walk through impassable terrains. Can't pass fences (?). Damages enemy buildings. Doesn't damages allied units and buildings. Great for saving allies/running our of battle. Manacost - 150 manapoints at all levels. Can't be upgraded with Scepter. Knockback distance - 125 per level. Knockback effect - rocks/dust like in Barathums Greater Bash. Shouldn't stack with Lothars Axe/Phase Boots. Your Kodo has to face the enemy unit/hero/building to damage&knockback/damage it! Damage type is physical.

Skill synergy


It's a simple spell that will increase Your regeneration . Useful to recover hitpoints after/while in/before a fight.

It's a good idea to level up those two abilities before gaining Ultimate.

Connect this two skills for a great combo. Enemies will be dealt with a really massive damage!

Having an increased MS, You will be able to walk through Your enemies more times, knocking them back and dealing a huge damage.


++
Wait some seconds before fighting to gain the max possible IAS and IMS. Then strike Your enemies walking through them with an Ulti usage! They'll be just sad they met You .

Item synergy (Will be still updated)


That big kodo has a very small base movement speed. That's why one the first things that You should buy are boots! They will somehow increase the amount of earthshock stomps.



Dagger. The item You surely should buy. Allows You to enter/escape the battlefield, whenever You can do the same with Your Ultimate.



Force Staff. Probably even better then dagger, because Raging Kodo ability and Earthcrusher ability still work if You push Yourself!

I think this would be the best skillbuild, the main thing the Kodo Rider needs is movement&attack speed. However, at level 1 gain Devour to recover Your health faster (if enemies likes to attack at the game begin).

He is my number #1 early pusher hero.

Movement speed of 275? Slowest (Techies as well) hero now Though Kodo's are slow anyway. And his high STR makes up for it I guess.

Can Devour kill Necronomicon? Also, a 2 CD on Devour means you can eat most of Chen's creeps as they are Level 5ish (Furbolg and Centaur).

Earth Crusher seems ridicously, you could run around a building and basically destroy it in seconds like that.

Raging Kodo, does it damage units once only or more than once? If its more than once >.>

That's not rocks, thats like Dust.
Earth Crusher doesn't make the ground shaking with each 150 distance travelled, there is only a chance for that, so it's not really big You can deal more damage to a building just attacking it :/

Dust? Whatever :P But I still mean that effect =)
And yes, Ulti can deal damage more than once (unlimited number of hits).

About Chen's controlled units - I can ever change the numbers!

Thanks. For 1 thing, using practically the same icons (& concept) as to my hero idea, please as much as possible... change. I see much similarity in this into mine.

War Drums is a skill that adds movement or attack speed. That's where you want to go with the concept of WD. Good luck.

It's a frigging kodo, of course it has War Drum ability and something to do with devour, so naturally there are icons that shows parts of it's body (foot/head/mouth), especialli since Devour icon is ingame. You can't blame him for using the same icons, because he uses the same model, and the icons fits the model, it' not coincidence.

Yeah :x That icons perfectly fit to that model, that's why i used them. What other icons could i use :X? Those are perfect. Devour, Stempede and War Drums icons are the original W3 icons, only the foot is the one i took and did a little change (rotated, did a passive and disactive ones) because i really needed it. However, You (king_james) should be glad to see that i attached the link to Your Kodo idea =/

Other thing, that when I was making this hero idea, I wasn't depending on Your one.

Erm, not to be too pick but fix your format please. The cooldowns and mana cost should be seperate from the level descriptions so it is easier to read.

1. A nice little regen spell. If it gave gold, might a little better. Probably can be partial gold (25% or something). Every 20 seconds you get a full creep like Lucy does.

2. This guy doesn't attack much eh? Runs around a stomps a lot. Creative. The percent chance might make it weak though because you could walk all day and not get a proc.

3. Make something nice here and I'll review it.

4. This makes me lol. The Kodo becomes a wrecking machine for a short period. I'm a big fan.

Make something for War Drums and I'll finish commenting.

About manacost&cooldown, i recolour it then Should be enough.

About gold from Devour, I can surely add this part.

About War Drums :x
Can't get an idea that would fit to that Kodo hero...
Making it just a damage aura would be a bad idea... Venge has command aura that provides damage.
Making it a speed increase aura would be a bad idea too...
So, as i wrote up at it's slot, is making it a +stats good idea? =x

MS i something this guy needs to make a combo with the stomping skill that procs every distance moved. More MS = More distance moved faster = More proc = More DMG.
Just make it different, not boring 15%MS boost, something unique. Simple & effective.

Nothing to do with drums really. He's just in placebo effect thinking he's unkillable.

It makes sense... hmm... but all the time i went icon-hunting which was about 1-1/2 hour made your job so much easier with just less than 5 minutes .

Hmm... TBH, your hero is very well laid out and balanced.

Devour - The spell is unoriginal which is why i left that out, though i also though about that. But with the added effect of Regen it seems good enough.

Earth Crusher - Whew. Awesome skill. Wish i could have thought of that. Perfectly synergizes along with his skills.

War Drums - Same old, same old, the war drums, ladder kind-style.

Raging Kodo - When your raging towards someone, is it possible to stop? By pressing S or H?

Overall, its good. I see some similarities but i guess its just coincidence.

Okay, 2 seconds slow was added. I think 2 seconds is good enough.

Small explanation of Ulti:
It's like the skill of Phase Boots - makes You just able to walk through units. But there is an addon of - You can walk through units, building and trees (destroying them). Can't walk through impassable terrains, as its written up^. Also damages passed enemy units and buildings (allied, enemy). AND ALSO knocks back every damaged LIVING enemy unit (or creep).

I hope it's fully understandable =P.

i like this big fat ass kodo xD he is anti chasing hero and maybe great ganker with the right items, also tank with 1st skill i really like this hero... good idea and skill concepts T-up
