Question Why the nerf-heavy approach to Tusk?

I know that all of you will flame me for saying this, since Tusk had just been released and it hasn't even been a week yet. But I checked his Dota 2 Wiki page, and I couldn't help but notice the absurd amount of nerfs, so I'd like to ask you people why was Tusk nerfed so much?

When he was first released his Snowball's speed scaled with his allies' movement speed which means with a full team you can get a speed-of-light Snowball that Blinks your whole team on top of the poor guy. Simply put, he was imbalanced and needed some nerfs to bring him to his current balance (which I think is pretty good for now)

So you have never seen the speed a 5 man snowball (even 3) could get? It was like cent's ult but without being an ultimate.

Come on, don't try to be a smartass, it's fairly obvious that I'm talking about Dota 2.

He answered trully, those nerfs happened when he was released at wc3, aka DotA 1, dota 2 just added the hero(that was nerfed in d1) to the pool, while showing you the nerfs he has had trough hystory, watch the dates of those nerfs, D2 project didnt exist back then.

I feel like an oldfag now.

You're missing my point completely. I'm not trying to ask when were his nerfs issued, but why were they issued.

Who knows ?
Ask icefrog smartass ..
Dota 2 right know ONLY port hero from dota 1 ..
Any sort of buff nerf will still be based on dota 1 .

And he answered your fucking question and you decided to be an asshole to him. Tuskarr was strong. He got nerfed. That's all there is to it.

You asked why he was nerfed in Dota 2. Maybe you did not intend to ask that, but you phrased your OP in that manner. Thus why you were answered with the fact that those are parity

The reason he was nerfed after release in Warcraft 3 Dota, is pretty obvious. He was in need of balance changes... the same reason why any other hero gets nerfed or buffed

You asked why he was nerfed. People have repeatedly told you it was because he was OP. What the fuck are you trying to ask?

GJ OP. You did ask for it, both directly through the OP and also indirectly by being an asshole. Thing about this forum, don't flame first and no one can call you anything.

EDIT: Other than a noob.

Imagine Tusk + Cent vs anything. Snowball -> stomp -> shards -> Double edge -> walrus punch -> stampede = 120 + 150 + 280 + 400 + ~300 + ~100 = 1300, approx 1140 dmg combo after reductions at lvl 7. YOU CAN'T ESCAPE NORMALLY. Only one of the many pairs involving Tuskarr that result in 100% won lane.

His walrus punch used to fo a disturbing amount of damage since level 1, his snowballs was a free 3 seconds haste while ganking(with an added stun+invulnerability) packed with shards and sigyl...well he kinda broke the pub meta for an entire month, that is the reason why he got so many number tweaks, added efects removed. Hope this trully helps you.

To be honest the only heroes that completely broke houses when released i can think about are AA(the glorious aa mid days), Xin(people still hate him), Phoenix(sunray with slow) TC(yes he was weird at the beggining but rants were spectacular when he nailed a 4 or 3 man combo, and received quite a list of number tweaks), Gyro had to prove himself a little, but dominated the pubs since his start. And recently wyrm as a king of teamfigths and arc warden with his infamous free glyph and double items.

Forgot to add, that those days we got a version that scaled up to e and d for a stable map...so well it was a hell of a trip back in those days.

Raisen. If you saw the parity changes, could you not infer why they were made? I.E if Walrus Punch was nerfed in lvl 1 damage, doesn't that say to you "Oh maybe lvl 1 Pucnh did too much damage, that's why it was nerfed." And people already did answer you about the snow ball nerfs, the MS was too good with a group.

Stop being blatantly ignorant and actually process the information you read and come to logical conclusions instead of saying WHY WONT YOU GUYS ANSWER ME, GUIZE SRS.

If you're wondering why people are being jerks to you, it's this passive-aggressive behavior kick you're on. Just own up to the fact that you were being unreasonable by becoming frustrated with people who were legitimately answering your question, and all will be happy.

You don't seem like you understand why people are giving you a hard time, so a fake apology isn't really going to do anything but make you seem like a douche.

Sorry for white knigthing, but his question was answered, and an apology is worth the same regardless of conditions, can we ask a mod to close this before it turns into a flame fest?

Actually an apology is worth it's intentions. Apologizing just to get people off your back is insincere and worthless. However yes the question has been answered and this thread should be closed.

Raisen I'm not flaming you. I'm telling you, that your ignorance and arrogance is stupid. Act like a more reasonable and logical human being if you want people to not flame you.
