Kuroky decided to give a post-match analysis.

hey, I decided to shortly analyze the game we played against MYM for some clarification about our pick & playstyle and to give some insights from my view what actually happened during the games.

Game 1

The pick phase went pretty cheezy, I think MYM got the lineup they wanted to play, besides the razor pick I saw heroes going pretty well with the players. As they started getting more late game and some gank power at the same time, we decided to simply push them down. But a push strat has to be played rightfully, that's the point what 95% of the people didn't seem to understand what we actually pulled off.

Fact is we play to win, we have to prove ourselves to get LAN support for 2010 before we go into any risk and this version has a big variety of counter strats, and what we did was completely shutting down the ganking advantage of MYM with the way we played the game, we made it simple - the infamous tri lane pressure.

Game 2

This time MYM completely changed their picks, I think the way they picked was to counter our heroes. Their first 2 picks were NEC + medusa, so we thought about getting burst dmg. SF comes in handy, but the real trick was picking kotl now. We had a PL pick in mind but at the same time we forced MYM to get him, which led them into having PL, dusa, NEC and tide. At the first look it kinda looked like a pub game lol, but I think MYM shouldn't have concentrated so much into countering our hero combination after they already picked medusa+nec which made them somewhat stuck, as these heroes aren't very flexible.

Storm spirit was an obvious choice for us, with them having hardly any disable and brood was needed as an off-laner + pressureing hero. Their lastpick had to be a babysitter for PL, they went for SP, though I expected a warlock.

Game 2 was a re-make in -ap, but the drafting went like this:

Yes, I was like o.0 at the Dusa Necro pick, at the PL pick and after the brood pick by BFB I knew MYM would lose heavy but it got better. Dazzle pick was truly the perfect nail in the coffin. LOL. Why the heck? That was a complete dysfunctional lineup with almost no disable ...

and the ban on the 1st game too...puck/cm/ds/lion all gankers and forcing mym to play 2 carry 2 semi carry 1 passive supporter..
hey you forgot to add this stuff phoenix, the real problem of 6.6x IMO just like kuroky said in his blog

Saying that, we are going into 2 more problems. I'll start with the TP-problem.
When the massive-tp was introduced, people thought it will encourage ganking, which is not true. Instead it helped to babysit the carry, the lategamer, it made it incredibly hard to tower dive. You hardly see any oldschool towerdiving with stunners anymore, instead you see the new style of towerdiving - heroes that tank with vanguard. Pre the TP-tower buff you needed more teamplay and alot better timing with the tp to countergank, nowadays you simple shout HELP and you have 3-4 people to back you up within 3 seconds. How is it possible to gank effectively against a good team at this point?

bfb has a huge edge on mym at this point. Some people might disagree with me but I think they're on completely different tiers at this point.

Don't get me wrong, skillwise MYM has some good players but their team has no good leaders, and with this constellation the picks will just be a crazy clusterfuck between mania's and hanni's ideas, neither of whom have much experience in picking.

If Maelk doesn't come back fulltime (regardless of his ingame skills, his leading / picking skills are top notch), or some other major change doesn't happen I expect MYM to be a heavy underdog to BFB and SK / NotEHOME in future matches.
This is of course assuming Puppey 's megatilt-we-go-crazy-mass-gangers insanity switch isn't triggered somehow.

BFB's first publicized games, and they 2:0 MYM. Admittedly, MYM has been slumping hard lately, but the team with the MS Paint logo still seems like they're gonna tear it up.

Honestly speaking, both games were kinda boring. But as Kuroky said, they just wanted the win which explains BFB picks and playstyle.

I've seen both matches, and Kuro's storm spirit is awesome. I love it when he goes through all lengths to dodge as many projectiles as possible. He blinked like 3 or 4 time to dodge that one snake, haha.

MYM got heavily outpicked, and outplayed in these games. I hope they bounce back, but BFB seems like it can only improve, considering how well they are playing together in there first few matches.

Demon also doesn't seem to like their current playstyle from his comment at the beginning of the first game.

"See you guys in 60 minutes, for our first team battle"

Second game was a bit boring, MYM picks were trash, the game should've ended in 25 mins, but because of the massive turtling....it went to 40 min

Merlini farming is just too good lol, no one could stop him in both games

Besides that I totally agree, MYM needs a good captain. When Maelk left most people (including Maelk himself) thought Mania would take over, instead he let Kuro, the new guy who had never been the captain of any team either do the picks, imo that shows that he might not be totally comfortable with it. Which doesn't mean he can't learn it but in these games Puppey just played with him.
