INTRODUCTION



Summon Kaarogan

Assumed to be one of the failures of the Khan-Dya'kar tribe, Kaarogan was banished from the lands of Azeroth, ensuing his failure to slay the monster he opposed. Subjugated of his melee combat, he pursued the mastery of the shortbow, which was thought to be one of the most disgraceful rank of weaponry amongst the Centaurs. With the adaptation amongst the forests in which he dwelled upon, he soon learned to control the forsaken loam to trap his enemies, slowly, incapacitating them to their demeaning death, whether by his stout form or his swift arrow. But with every piece of courage upon his heart, and his prized-possession, his sole weapon, Kaarogan tends to oppose once again those who have doubted him in the glorious battlefield.

Signal Arrow

Kaarogan fires a lit up arrow, once it hits the target point, Kaarogan charges to that point. Can charge through trees, destroying them, but not through unpassable terrain, neither through units. The arrow moves with 1000 Speed, the arrow will not be stopped by anything, it will deal damage by passing through units , Kaarogan will charge with 522 Speed, the Charge stops when the path is blocked by unpassable terrain or an enemy unit. This unit will then recieve damage, be stunned for 1 second while getting knocked back by 130 units.

Level 1 - 65 Arrow Damage. 75 Charge Damage.
Level 2 - 90 Arrow Damage. 95 Charge Damage.
Level 3 - 115 Arrow Damage. 125 Charge Damage.
Level 4 - 135 Arrow Damage. 155 Charge Damage.

In Depth Explanation

Arrow damage is Magical, Charge damage is physical. Also, once the arrow has stopped travelling, the targeted point for the charge will be marked with a flaming arrow, which will only be visible to Kaarogan and his allies.

Duration is until Charge is stopped.
Casting Range is 700/825/950/1075
Casting Time is animation only


Cooldown: 16 seconds at all Levels
Mana Cost: 85/95/105/115

Quicksand

In years of suriviving in the wilderness, Kaarogan learned to control the earth in order to suck his foes in more and more as they desperately try to fight themselves out.
Creates a 300/380/460/540 Aoe Area of quicksand, that slows enemies when they are moving. Effect fades after 1/1.75/2.5/3.25 seconds of standing still inside the quicksand. If the slow gets removed from a hero by standing for x seconds, the hero will get the buff 'Awareness', that renders him immune to 'Quicksand' for 5 seconds.
Cap of 60% Slow. Slow lasts 3/4/4/5 seconds after leaving the quicksand area

Level 1 - Quicksand initially slows enemies by 10% of their MS and for an additional 3% of their MS for every .75 seconds moving in Quicksand.
Level 2 - Quicksand initially slows enemies by 14% of their MS and for an additional 5% of their MS for every .75 seconds moving in Quicksand.
Level 3 - Quicksand initially slows enemies by 18% of their MS and for an additional 7% of their MS for every .75 seconds moving in Quicksand.
Level 4 - Quicksand initially slows enemies by 22% of their MS and for an additional 9% of their MS for every .75 seconds moving in Quicksand.

In Depth Explanation
The quicksand will slow the affected units as they are moving.
If the affected units will not move the effect will fade after x seconds of standing.



Duration of quicksand area is 3.75/4.5/5.25/6 seconds
Casting Range is 575/650/725/800
Casting Time is 0.75 seconds



Cooldown: 27/24/21/18
Mana Cost: 110/120/130/140

Framework: I'm not sure about the framework, but I imagine some kind of Sand moving towards the centre, the affected units should be ckind of covered in sand too.

Shortbow Mastery

Kaarogan, though a master of the shortbow, can only bring his skill to perfection when he is able to take aim.
Kaarogans normal attacks now deal extra damage to standing targets or half the damage to targets who are slowed by at least 32%/29%/26%/23% of their MS.


Level 1 - +20(10)% Damage.
Level 2 - +30(15)% Damage.
Level 3 - +45(22.5)% Damage.
Level 4 - +60(30)% Damage.

In Depth Explanation

+dmg will apply once the attack has reached the target.

Casting Range is none
Casting Time is none


Cooldown: none
Mana Cost: none

Assault

Kaarogan fully focuses his powers on his shortbow, which makes him able to fire arrows so fast that he can even move while doing it.
Kaarogan will begin to fire x arrow a second on random enemies in 650/700/750 AoE around him, he wont need to do an attack animation while doing that, he can even move while shooting. Works with 'Shortbow Mastery'.
For the duration, his attackrange wil be raised by 50/100/150. However, while fully focusing on his enemies, he won't be able to move at his maximum speed. His Ms will be reduced by 18%. Removes all your bonus damage while in 'Assault'.

Level 1 - 2 arrows per second.
Level 2 - 3 arrows per second
Level 3 - 4 arrows per second.

Note : -10% Selfslow with scepter

Duration is 5.5/6.5/7.5 seconds
Casting Range is none
Casting Time is none


Cooldown: 150/130/110 - 20 sec CD with scepter
Mana Cost: 165/185/205

Double post? o.O

1. Projectiles moving at 500 is very slow. Most missiles move around 1000-1500. I'm not really sure how this skill works. I guess you fire and arrow and then charge until you hit something?

2. Ridiculous. Not only is it cosmetically irritating (a centaur summoning a Golem, really? You don't see a problem with this?), it is also overpowered in its effect.

3. This is okay. A little boring, but okay.

4. Stun arrow is inherently overpowered. Its a 5 second CD stun. If you get close, then you will own them very hard.

You need to seriously rethink this. Its cosmetically awkward and the skills are too strong. I'll give more suggestions if you want, but it looks like you might already be satisfied with your hero as it is.

Thank you for reworking him. This is a lot better.

1. Much better, you will actually be able to hit someone with the arrow now. This move is no longer high risk low reward. You can almost guarantee a decent hit with the arrow and if you are smart, you can use the charge to initiate your ulti.

2. This skill still bothers me. Most likely because it reminds me of many other skills but I'll let someone else pass full judgement. Its a decent ganking/farming tool and its a good set up for Signal Arrow.

3. No changes, no comment.

4. This is pretty cool. I think I've seen it suggested before but its still a cool ability. It works pretty well on this hero because his skill do focus on isolating groups of enemies. As far as numbers go, those are probably too high for the effect because it is just increasing his attack speed and removing his attack animation for the duration. The spell has a similar feel to Focus Fire.

Overall a pretty big improvement but it probably needs some work here and there a little bit.

You don't have to change it; that's my opinion. The knockback makes it harder to keep them in there and harder to place Signal Arrow.

See what someone else says before you make other changes.

Good set of skills... I see good potential in synergies... I kinda LOL on the third skill because his attack speed/AGI is kinda low... it also reminds me of Geminate attack but this skill is better because it also triggers on casting his skills... not on item, I hope... MKB would really be a great item for this hero especially when the ulti is on... :P

I wanna say before i review; I really like this hero. I see some definite good synergys. Now lets get on to a badass review... king_james style; crab-dribbling MVP-ing, dunkin' shit over KOBE style!!!! Alright, let's get on with it:

Signal Arrow: (10/10)
- Unique. I love it. Not only are the mechanics cool, its an awesome way to chase, he can really slow down an enemy with this skill by making himself faster. At first when i saw this skill, i thought it was going to be an autocast; LMAO. I would laugh if it were; thank God it isn't. I like the charge-effect-damage and the knockback thing, really makes him look like he's melee at that moment.

Explosive Arrow: (9/10)
- I see potential in this since when your chasing, you need something to slow the enemy down. This does that, and this opens up some great synergy, leading me to lean toward liking this skill. Solid skill, good synergy, no problems.

Crossbow Mastery: (7.2/10)
- Crossbow Mastery is much like a lot of ideas I've seen through DA, DP and now here at PD. Its like every other archer hero i see, i seem to come across a double attacking dude, the exact counterpart of a weaver. Although the mechanics seem balance so its pretty good.

Assault: (8.7/10)
- Another skill that I have seen throughout archer heroes. I agree with Zirath about how this has been suggested numerous times, but this hero completely fits in with Assault. If I'm right, every arrow Assault deploys thereafter alots a 14/20/26/32% chance for another arrow right? If so, then it would be a little imbalanced, hehe. I see a lot of Windrunner in this skill, but hey, its still cool.

Overall: (8.7/10)
- Overall, everything seems to be smooth. Not bad, not bad at all, this hero. It has some pretty good synergy, one of the reasons why i came to lke Kaarogan. For the story, I'll be supplying you, if you want. Just tell me and I'll be off writing. I dunno about this hero before is reworking, but I'm sure glad this was remade, in favor of the previous comments. Good luck OP.

watch the double posts just a heads up. but other than that I don't think this is that bad, although the ult reminds me of a combination of WR and WD.

Rest is fine with me, but got a question about the ulti, it doesnt have a duration? or only shoots once? but it says "per second" or maybe its like Ursa old Overpower. 200%~400% IAS?

Sheer will-power and intuition was all an outlaw needed and soon, Karoogan found himself choosing between sides, to bring his lightning fast arrows that are almost impeccable, and somehow tend to discharge amongst foes. Karoogar conveys his heart, and his prized-possession, his sole weapon, to the battlefield only to oppose once again those who have doubted him.

Good enough? Good changes OP. Keep it up, maybe you should change the template, it seems a little disorganized. Check this template out, its really neat.
