July 29, 2009
• Added Item to the forum.

November 22, 2009
• Fixed stats, cooldowns, and information of the item
• Added new item layout scheme

November 26, 2009
• Lowered % chance from 55-60% to 18%.
• Lowered cost from 2800 to 2600.
• Increased gained damage from 25 to 28

November 26, 2009
• Removed cooldown, although added restriction (cannot trigger more than once 5 seconds after proc)

December 5, 2009
• Added components and reworked item into a recipe.
• Increased percentage chance by 2% from 18%->20% to fit Javelin.
• Increased damage given by 11, from 28 -> 39.
• Reduced pure damage by 5, from 45 -> 40.

December 9, 2009
• Increased cost of recipe by 500, from 300 -> 800. Total cost is now 3300.

December 10, 2009
• Reduced damage of the item by 15 (in compensation of the pure damage)
• Lowered pure damage by 5 (in compensation of low item cost)
• Changed the scheme of damaging. (Now has a formula, thanks to Unnamed_)

August 1, 2010
• Updated item layout to Nothlng's template.
• Increased recipe cost by 100, due to Blades of Attack reduction of cost by 50.

A pair of claws forged with the power to cut through anything it slices upon. It has a 20% chance to penetrate through the toughest armors and at more accuracy the stronger the opponent.

Creator's Notes: The item above is one that is unique and entirely new to the game. It enables you to challenge a higher level enemy hero who has buffed himself with a ton amount of armor [ex. Dragon Knight]. This item gives you somewhat an advantage to get back into the game and could be the item that wins it all for you and your team. To avoid imbalances, CoP will not trigger more than once 5 seconds after it has just proc.

Sacred Relic is rarely purchased because of its price and this is even more expensive.

Also, the effect isn't that great. If an enemy has 20* armor, it is a 15% chance for 2x crit. If the enemy has 30* armor, it is a 15% chance for 3x crit. Since it gives a little less than half the bonus damage Sacred Relic gives, you pay about 2k gold for Crystalys without the bonus damage (since most won't have 20 or more armor).

*Armor amounts are estimates.

On the codability, it can be done by causing 1 damage to a target (after removing all Hardened Skin based abilities temporarily) and checking how much damage they actually took, and then causing pure damage equal to the amount of damage that was prevented by armor.

Lower cost to 3000, take away the +27 damage, then people MIGHT buy it

15% is awful though. That's Mortred's crit chance, but with a (situationally) worse effect

I say lower the cost to 3000 without taking away the +27 damage. Demon Edge costs 2400 and gives +35 damage, so it costs 600 more gold for 9 less bonus damage (about 500 more gold), so the effect itself costs about 1100 gold.

Also, until this is put into a recipe, nobody will ever buy it.

Pure damage is so wonky. I'd never buy it as is though, because of how expensive it is and how purely situational. Concept is interesting though, null for now unless price is lowered.

Hey! where did you get the idea of making damages pure by percentage????

Because one of my Hero HAD that kind of skill.... (triggering a chance that will make his damage Pure)

Yes. I knew of your skill, i reviewed it didn't I? I was thinking of a concept, and out of nowhere, this just came into mind. I didn't intend to steal it, it really just went to place.

I'd more like to see this item as a recipe not a single item because :

- No current basic item deals percentage bonus except javelin
- Pure damage is situational. So recipe item is more recommended.
- Items like javelin and crystalys actually does something similar. So I think you'd better combine it (I like to see it combined with javelin)
- If it is a basic item, it would be combinable in the future. But it's too painful to combine an item with 4000 gold. Even 3800 gold sacred Relic is hard enough...

Or you could make it such that 15% of the time an autocast spell ability is given to the hero which deals his attack damage in Attack Type Hero, Damage Type Universal (to bypass magic immunity), and disable his attack for that hit.

It's an unique idea except that it seems to promote a farm based gameplay which I thought is discouraged. Nobody would buy this except as a luxury so it's not very useful is it? Unless it were to be used in some recipe.

Exactly. So i was thinking, this would be a part of an item. A new recipe... probably when this is implemented (IF IF IF!!!) the recipe also comes in.

Maybe some sort of collaboration. Who would want to plan so? Would anyone want some sort of collaboration for a recipe?
