[IMPLEMENTED][Voiceset] Vengeful Spirit

NOTE: I found this thread on Dota-Allstars, orginally suggested by Jenova-. Many people, including me, liked it. I think the idea deserves a repost on this site. The original thread can be found here: [VOICESET] Vengeful Spirit - DotA Allstars Discussion.

The suggestion is simple. The current soundset may fit, but imo we should avoid growling soundsets on heros if it is possible.
So lets replace Shendelzare's current soundset (SpiritofVengeance) with Undead Sylvanas ones (EvilSylvanas). It is a female, ghostly sound, often talking about vengeance (If you have played campaigns, you know why). It perfectly fits to her.

The proposed Soundset is not used by Traxex and is currently unused.
It has a slightly unfitting 'Pissed'-Sound (Pissed3), but pissed sounds are normally not heared in games and many heros have unfitting pissed sounds, too (Nevermore or Lanaya for example).

Light-Coke requested the Quotes of the Soundset. Infrisios posted the translations. Here we go:
Warcry: Victory draws near!
What1: Show me a target
What2: I am here
What3: Give your order
What4: I'm listening
Yes1: It's time to even the scales
Yes2: Done
Yes3: I have no time for games
Yes4: The moment is upon us
Yes5: Of course
Attack1: Show them no mercy
Attack2: Push the attack
Attack3: Let none survive
Attack4: May my aim be true
Pissed1: My will is my own
Pissed2: I have my own reasons for seeking vengeance
Pissed3: Arthas murdered my people and turned me into this...monstrosity (the unfitting)
Pissed4: What are we if not slaves to this torment?

Pros:
-Currently unused
-No MSI
-Imo better than a stupid growling
-Fits to her Vengeance-Theme

Cons:
-People never wanna try out new things


If you're too lazy to listen to the sound in WorldEditor or Campaign, I created a test map:

Kinda unfitting. No reference to her lore or anything else.
Instead of Arthas, she should say Mortred. But she is monstrosity though.

Agree on this change. I read somewhere that a unit quote can somehow be erased from the entire unit voiceset. If that is true ( need confirmation ) wouldn't it be better to erase the 'Arthas murdered my people and turned me into this...monstrosity' quote?

Sure, and you can add your own quotes to the voiceset. But then it's not ingame, and hence it's imported, and hence it increases map-size for nothing.

This needs to be confirmed as well.

Ok.
Basically you can replace a quote by re-importing, but it'd be waste of mapspace to erase a "pissed" sound, which only plays after clicking her long enough.
Edit: Plus, it would be problematic to re-import stuff due to different language versions.

the only problem is that vengeful doesn't "open" her mouth in the portrait when talking...
it would look weird, but nobody looks at hero's portrait anyway

the soundset is probably the coolest in game. however, i dont hink it fits vs. she should share spectre's more likely.

why? cause her lips don't move! it would seem dumb.

give trax this, the darkranger soundset doesnt fit her at all (this does)

I know the sound set. Sounds a lot better then the current one and is perfect. The Pissed sound files are just there for funnies from Blizz and not to be taken seriously most of the time. T-Up.
