[ICONSET] Lina Inverse

Hi everyone,

So, this is finally my first visual suggestion.

Lina has an iconset with 2 overused icons, the first one and the Ult one. Furthermore, imo the lightning theme of the Ult doesnt fit to Lina at all, therefore Id like to change it to something with fire, although I overall dislike monotone sets. Ofc, Ult icon will only be implemented, if the animation is changed as well, thats obvious, isnt it. As well, the skill's tooltip would need some changes and also the background story, but still, imo its worth it.
So heres some collection of icons by me, hope you like 1 or 2 or even more of them

Suggestions:

For first icon:

Ok, first one is actually a Flame Wall, but it could be seen as a Wave of Fire. Current icon is really more unfitting, because its a spear. Spear != Wave of Fire, Wall of Fire ≈ Wave of Fire
Second one looks like a Wave of Fire, if you imagine it moving towards the left side.
The third one has the disadvantage of the hand and does look averagely like a Wave of Fire.

For third icon:

For Ult:

First one looks imo a bit weak compared to the skill's effect and it looks a bit similar to Ogre Magi's icon. Still, it fufils its job.
The second one is a fireball like the first one, but slightly different.
The last icon could be a meteor, but as well a fire ball or ray. Looks quite strong imo, but perhaps a bit too bright for the iconset.

Conclusion:
So, what do you think? You can post your favourite iconset if you want to, feel free to criticize anything you dislike. Hope this will improve Lina's iconset.

For Dragon Slave, the projectile travels in straight lines and your icon doesn't represent that. T-d

For Fiery Soul, the icon is ridiculous (but it is good ) but it doesn't fit. What does a picture of a naked women have to do with getting a surge of power?

Lastly, your suggested Laguna Blade's icon is t-d. The animation for Laguna is blue-lightning, which was represented well by its icon while yours doesn't unless you change Laguna Blade's animation to something that suits with your icon.

Well, imo the "Fire Wall" could be seen as traveling in a straight line, but were kind of used to think of it as a wall ^^
Why does the third suggested icon not represent a projectile traveling in a straight line?

Well, its not mine, but I support this, so better post comment on this in the linked thread.
But it represents a fiery soul and this is the skill's name.

Read again pls what I said in original post. Im well aware that the animation has to be changed, but that is my plan. Only, Im not very good in finding animations, in fact I have no clue about them, so this has to be done by someone else than me.
Therefore, pls comment on icons generally, animation will be done later on by someone else hopefully.


Edit: I hope you can see all the iconsets, because I currently cant see any of the icons from this forum's hero page, I even tried with IE instead of Mozilla, but it doesnt show them.

Well, this is dota, and imo the Lightning doesnt fit at all to her, be it because of some anime Ive never seen or not. Therefore, so it doesnt really matter what the origins of some heroes were. Look at Phantom Lancer, the only thing, which is similar to the FFX character is the spirit lance.
But I guess everyone has different opinions concerning this.

1. The 3rd Dragon Slave icon is recoloured old Razor's/Medusa's Chain Lightning right? It does looks like it. Lina use both hands to cast Dragon Slave.

Current icon set looks so dumb.

For Dragon Slave the second icon looks better. It exactly depicts the animation.

For Laguna Blade also the seconds icon is the best. But the projectile colour must be changed if this replacement takes place(red projectile is needed).

T-Down the dragon slave icons you proposed doesn't really fit the skill and for fiery soul you're taking the name of the skill to literally.

Here's a suggestion.
change this image

to blue and make it a lightning picture in the same direction.
Or maybe change this image

to a shape of lightning but in a blue color. try that.
and can u try to create the dragon slave icon to a phoenix. well dragon slave does sound like a phoenix when used. better yet change the name too, to summon phoenix.

Now about visual of Lina Inverse.
can you try to change the color of lina's power when she's use in the bad side?? It'll look awesome. I promise

But I really don't understand why Icefrog made it into bolt of lightning?
imo, it would be best if Lina shoots a blade like thing (it can be fire or lightning) and stabs an enemy..
