well yeah, there's something wrong with the term "photoshop". so i used "photoshop much" because it's too "photoshopped" that it looks bad already.

and you're right, it's not that much of a problem, but look at these icons.

A lot of icons used in hero ideas which are imported icons are really unwarcraft-ish.

Icon Border Pack - Wc3C.net This. Coupled with Photoshop or GIMP it allows you some basic icon customization.
Btw why bump a guide that isn't a suggestion. If you find your guide lacking reviews, ask for them somewhere else or/and improve your guide.
For some weird reason, icons from other games, such as Guild wars are often good candidates for icons.

added the "final" final rule. Well, it's not that needed but i reminds of some comments about icons "clashing" in hero skillsets.

Also gave new examples for rule number 4.

Please do tell if it's better now, and if the 11th rule is understandable.

Wow. The example icon sets as well as most of the icons "promoted" by this thread are bad and butt-ugly.
This thread explains a lot of the really bad icon suggestions we're having lately

well i could've made a set using the "good ones" but it would too hard to make a set with a sense.

i'm not just looking at the colors here you see, i'm also looking at the possible ideas that someone that would look at it think about when he sees it. just relook at the set again and you'll understand what i mean.

and yes they suck, i knew it from the start, but they're the best examples "HIVE" could give me at that moment so...

bad examples makes up a good start. seeing as i'm teaching you wrong things in your opinion. it would be a good start for you to not walk on my path also.

buriza is a bow , not a triple edged blade! you can see the arrow in the icon.
