Default Hook Trapping, and my very own technique

This replay was made for the purpose of explaining what Reverse Hook Trapping is.

Warcraft version 1.20c. I am sorry for the inconvenience if you cannot watch it due to the different version. But this is VERY IMPORTANT if you want to see how Reverse Hook Trapping is done. Please use the Warcraft Version Switcher tool(Google it) and watch the said replay.

There are a few pauses in the replay, that is because I was taking screenshots and pasting them on MS Paint, so I had to pause

Also, this is an AI map. I can't get replays of real matches because I play at computer shops and I can't send it to my computer at home. This was taken when I was playing at home.

Don't get me wrong, but AI are still okay for practicing hooks. They are good at avoiding hooks when they can see you so you are forced to hide before hooking. Which is a must for real competitive games, since they avoid hooks too!

Dota v6.59c AI+1.53 Rev. 02

Highlights:

00:11:15 - Hook Trapping in early game.

00:14:00 - Tried to use the Reverse Hook Trapping technique, right after taking a screenshot and pausing xD(blew my concentration), failed hard lol.

00:15:40 - I demonstrate how to "sculpt" the hook spot.

00:16:00 - I wait until the enemy creeps push. Please don't try this, I only did this for the sake of the guide. It took too much time and exp.

00:17:27 - Reverse Hook Trapping in action!!

Seriously, why did you use AI for your skills.
You are aware that AI lacks common sense. And will not move until certain conditions where check.

Because if you read why I posted this, it was :

a.) To demonstrate what a "reverse hook trap" is.

and

b.) My friend wasn't online to host a game. (I don't lag too much when he hosts)

I don't post replays to show off or to make my internet penis bigger.

Can you even describe what it is? no one is going to watch it, make a youtube video or use 1.23, but at least describe what your technique is. Somebody is gonna be pissed if they bother sswitching versions, watching your replay and it ends up being something useless.

They should save themselves some time, it is obviously going to be useless as it was used against the AI.

Added the [6.59AI, 1.20, APSP] to your thread description. Also if you want to post an AI map replay please link the source of the map
