I cant connect to beta server, i can connect all other servers but cant on beta...what is problem? can some1 help me plz

No need to connect to beta realm anymore, just play the normal way.

I have downloaded the 6.61c map but it seems that people joining my game on bnet have to re-dl the map. when dl is completed, they dc from the game. anyone else facing this problem??

Dear Icefrog,

I have a Problem/Concern.
When I heard The Blizzard had a new update for warcraft 1.24
Ive updated it from battlenet.
after I updated it from Battlenet Ive Downloaded the new map 6.61c and Put it in the perspective folder of warcraft.
After I went on garena and opened my warcraft, everything went fine until i joined a game, i had to DL the map all over again, then the host waited for me to DL the Map until it reach 99 i got kick/booted, then i tried with my friend, same problem, so it wasnt the host i was booted at 99 automatically
any ideas how i can fix this?

Absolutely NO NEED for that
Check what is IN the key (or if he exists) and replace it with the correct Path.
if not that, u delete the old key and google "warcraft fix" --- done

Thats 2 times slower than my method. Seroisly, and your is two times complicated. Fresh install doesn't hurt anyone. Also, its a good setup for upcomming patches.

Actually not really, if your installation CD is buried somewhere under the bookshelf, besides uninstalling and reinstalling both ROC and TFT can take a while. Plus "twice" is better than "2 times".

That is true, though, so one should choose this method, but only if s/he doesn't know what the Windows registry is.

When someone comes to 1.24 topic and seeks for patching help, I'm 99% sure that s/he doesn't know how to handle the Regedit, am I right?

There is no need to use a no-cd crack because the recent patches already do not require you to use the cd. Hopefully you kept a backup of the uncracked files, if you did then just fix you files and update and you are done.

I might be wrong but if you were using a no-cd crack for 1.23, it was completely unnecessary, and probably tampered with something other than your wc3 game.

Copy and paste the following in to a blank notepad document, and save as "wc3.reg", run it and when it asks, merge it to the registry.

Copy this:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

Do you guys even know why blizzard did this?

i saw tons of people insulting because they cant play... wouldnt you insult if you get a virus through a war3 map? -.-

thats why blizz did this... developing SCII and DIII and you think they wanna spend something on a 10 years old game?

Play sacred war revolution in the meantime xD
