Default [REMAKE] Versatile Aghanim?


I was thinking about how.. different many of the bonus Aghanim give to ultis are, and i somehow crosses that with Trends' capability of changing to give different bonuses, and i suddenly found myself asking me "why no?" :P

Then, more or less the idea would be that you may clic on Aghanim and make it reduce your ulti's MP cost, clic again, and reduce it's cooldown, clic again and give whatever bonuses it gives now (except for CD/Mana cost reduction, so some benefits should be reworked)

Quite a simple idea, i think :P

Maybe those aghanim bonuses could be changed to give only 1 specific upgrade, but higher.

Would require lot of code and shitload of switchable ultis (one with manacost, another with cd, antoher with something, etc.).

So I cast an ultimate with lower manacost then magicclick and I cast it soon after because now I have a lower cd too? (And I just spammed two ultis, say, in a 80 secs interval, instead of 160, and for overall 1.5x manacost.)

Cooldown will stay as it is ulti is finishes loading :S just as Blink does.. yo cast in with 20s cooldown, level it, and you have not earned yourself instant 5-less-seconds cooldown. you have to use it again to make it apply -.-

what is the problem with balanar? instead of reducing mana cost, make it increase duration :S

cooldown/duration/make him see as long at night than at day (unobstructed vision remains as a passive)

Agh's doesn't change CD/dmg/mana cost on every hero so this would mean changing every ultimate upgrade which would mean too much work. The current Scepter is fine, it doesn't have to copy Treads' versatility

First off, Darkness has no manacost. So it's rather obvious you don't decrease it.
Second, any longer duration is literally PERMANIGHT. (Just as how some ppl already refer to lvl3 Darkness.)
Unobstructed vision remaining at day is imba, even if it's a joke on Balanar, since he has ridiculously low sight range at day (other heroes' sight range at night).

Making this Ultimate toggleable somehow is enormous work. How about all of them? heh

you don't have to give him insane extra duration! XD a couple of seconds.. lets say.. 10 seconds? should be more than enough. Humm.. forget what i said about vision.. i misread 1800/1200 vision. well, i may have fails u.u i'll try to think of something later.

lol ccjmk you're always thinking outside the box. But this time you've left the entire box factory!! Quite a simple idea? LOL no way man. Letting wand keep charges on upgrade is a simple idea. This has layers of complication and balance issues.

Inventive but Aghanims is near impossible to figure out already!! As it stands T

I would suggest taking your ideas and mixing it with an upgrade system like Dagon. So if Vengeful Spirit bought an Agh VS would receive the normal CD improvement. If the Aghanmis recipe was purchased again it might improve the range of swap or mana cost. That is just one example and I gave VS 3 tiers of improvement. Yikes.

Uhhh... far too complicated imo, both for coding (compared to what we get from it) and for usage imo.
