I personally want to join but I tend to not review at all when I don't find anything interesting in the one I'm going to review. I'll think about it

I want to join this committee but I will only review heroes that are interesting to me or requested heroes (or items, skills, etc...)

Then we will make their heroes interesting by giving them feedback and ways to improve. |

.But the reason for this thread is for those people who don't know who to PM. Now that they can see who to PM, they'll have more options, don't you think? |

Can we request to sticky this?
But how do we assure quality of reviews given by this committee's members? I think that's important as well but I might be getting too serious now XD.

I think this is a good idea.
Except for three things. 1. It should be a Discussion committee. Even, Suggestions Discussion Committee. 2. You should include in your mission statement the following points. They were the two goals set out by Icefrog according to how he wants the new forum to work. 3. You should have a load limit of the reviewer's choosing, assigning requests randomly to the reviewers in accordance to their preferred load. If these 3 points are included, I would like to join. EDIT: Klok, what KingJames has in mind is very different to your group. Putting them together will create an elitist culture. I heavily advise from doing so.

What i do is usually add all the scores up and divide them by how many sub-columns there are. Skill 1, Skill 2, Skill 3, Skill 4, Synergy (divided)/5 = Overall Score Let's just hope those who want to review give some quality reviews. To the sticky part, i have no power.... . But let's hope.@notveryclever Sure thing. |

I think notveryclever gave a very good rationale for the group. I suggest coming up with a set of "guide questions" instead of a rubric for rating the hero.

I think you guys are going about this wrong. Don't think of it as reviewing, as much as discussing. Giving scores is how the old system worked, and failed. Simply discuss, and if a suggestion meets what you think validates a great suggestion, simply put into a statement your support - don't vote.
It's important we don't stray back to how it used to work. Discussion is key here. EDIT: We're all posting at the same time. I'm going to reply Klok and Chad now, then take a few minutes away before replying again. I advise the others to do the same.. Klok, an elitist culture is created when a group of people monopolize something (in this case, the suggestions forum) and thus have higher access to certain rights (reviews, opinions, creation tools, etc). The review section with this Creater's Guild will ultimately create an 'I scratch your back, you scratch mine' idiom that ruins everything we're working for. A Creater's guild is a good idea - it produces decent suggestions. But a reviewers club MUST be a separate entity to keep a check on the elitist group (which a Creater's Guild ultimately is). Quote:

Rubric:
Do the abilities fit the theme and/or model, and why/why not?: Do the abilities synergize well? Why/why not?: Is the hero fun to play? Why/why not?: If you could improve the hero in any way, how would you do so?: Other: Comments: |

@Klok
I personally don't want to dwell too much on cosmetics because most things in that line is fairly negotiable so getting the compatibility of things with the theme is kind of meh. On another note, do remember that the "guide questions" should encourage discussion more than anything else.
