Default [Tweak] Shackleshot




Shackleshot deals no damage. Why not? It's an arrow Alleria fires.

Skill description says:
"Alleria fires an enchanted arrow using wind magic that binds the target to an enemy unit or tree behind it."

Although it's shaped like an arrow, it's just a simple stun. All arrows deal damage in the game (Elune's Arrow is also a stun and has huge magical dmg.) except this one.

Here it is:
What I'm saying is it should deal Alleria's current damage (regular physical dmg type), just like any other hit. Or same amount in magical dmg type, since it's a spell.
In the first case it would work the same way as orb walking spells, where the attack modifiers come with the primary attack. It's a x1 critical, thus does not miss.

Note:
Raw damage also counts as well as buffs (like Empower) or auras (like Trueshot, Command, Lunar Blessing).

This change is minor, and would not alter the skill in any other way.

your reason is just a reason. it is a magical arrow after all. why it has to have physical dmg?
but Alleria could use some buffs. t-half-up

Not needed. If WR needs a buff, she needs a better one. This is just a minor thing and the logic behind the sugg: "because it's an arrow" is countered by "how can a friggin arrow make someone unable to move and cast spells?"

Well it is a magically enchanted arrow so your argument is also moot.

I give it a t-up. Just like Witch Doctor's cask, its the little buffs that make it nice.

Because it's a magic enchanted arrow. It does not say it's an arrow made out of some magical material or anything. If a burning spear deals damage of a spear+fire, it's also logical that an arrow that pierces you to a tree or another unit must deal at least the damage of your attack.

Yes it is a nice suggestion.Having a critical and a stun is just sweet.
Btw it is based on base damage or does it also accounts damage from other dps items/status?

Well, it's a x1 critical - a hit that does not miss.

And yes, it also counts raw damage. The main idea is that it's like a regular attack - only in magic dmg type, if it's more viable in case of a spell.
By status do you mean like Empower or Lunar Blessing/Trueshot Aura? Sure, they should work as well.

I was also thinking about tweaking Powershot, but this is a standalone idea up to this point. I wouldn't want to remake Alleria as a whole.

Yes you are right,it was my mistake and my blatant failure of maths.

Anyway,I don't have any problem now taking into consideration the damage from raw/status/auras ,it seems fair enough.

T-UP. it's a freakin' hard-to-aim nuke for its corrent gains. Give it a magical damage (not based on her corrent damage) only on a successful stun.
Optionally increase mana cost or increase CD for keepin' it balanced.

Hey, I have an idea! Windrunner's Windrunner skill is a bit bad for chasing/escaping; why not buff it... maybe turn it into Windleaper!
Oh, oh, and while you're at it, Powershot needs a slight buff too. Why not make it AOE! Arrows rain down from the sky, hitting all nearby enemies. Of course, the mana cost and cd would have to be upped a bit... Oh, and why not make it have a chance to randomly hit an enemy twice?! The name would have to be changed though... something like Arrowfall.
And actually, speaking of names, Shackleshot... not a very nice name. Why not rename it to... hm... I don't know, something like Windrunner's Arrow.
Oh, and her ulti too. It's so hard to use, and has an obscenely high mana cost. Imo, it should be changed. Erm, let's see... something that would still retain its mana cost... Oh, I know! Make it give all allied heroes invisibility for a few seconds!
