I prefer the alternate version over the original one. Kinda don't licke Sammet's voice. At least I cannot listen to it for long.

Boring main riff, like really dull. Song also sounds empty if that's the word I'm looking for, no interlude, no guitar solo, the guitar outro is just spamming the whammy bar. Vocals are decent, but don't stand out. The song sorely lacks melody, and apart from the main guitar track and the drums, there really isn't much supporting the song. There's a nice little segment with the guitar starting at 1:57, but it was completely wasted as it doesn't go anywhere except back to the main riff. 6/10, skippable track. Feel like going through the rest of the album to look for something nice in there, and see whether or not you just linked to the filleresque song in the album.

My favorite from Funkadelic, absolutely awesome solo. I heard rumours that they told the guitar man that his mom had died, and then asked him to play the solo, and then halfway through it, they told him it was a lie, and that's why it goes from sad to uplifting! But it's prolly only rumours. 8/10

This song is absolutely moving, please give it a shot, open your mind and you wont be dissapointed!
