Default [ITEM] Transporters


I was looking at some suggestion and I get an idea from this thread

What I purpose is using Goblin Zepplin (Sentinel) and Sky Barge (Scourge) for transporting units. They're both an upgrade from chicken.

Pictures :




Transporter are flying like crow and have same speed with it and also flies.

Additional information :
  • The unit can carry 6 items like chicken
  • They have two subskills, Load and Unload, both skill has 1 second casting time
  • They can load upto 8 friendly units. (max 1 hero)
  • Only units that are under hero control can be loaded
  • Some units counted as more than one (Sylla's bear, etc.)
  • If it's unit with duration, the duration will still goes on and the unit may die / vanish.
  • Can't unload unit on unpassable terrain
  • If transporter die while carrying units, all unit will be unloaded to the place where it dies.
  • Transporter has same speed with crow
  • Transporter flies.
  • Transporter can't attack and has 200 hp (0 mana)
  • Hero lose 5% of it's max hp per second

Usage

- To transport hero controlled unit easily especially chen.
- To makes a hero get out if they're stuck
- Can be use for escaping mechanism

Null dont really like the idea it doesnt really have a use as you dont really need to transport summons etc. does it carry heroes? if so T-down

Main hero that will use this skill will be Chen. Holy persuaded creeps last indefinitely and useful for ganking but they're hard to gank primarily because of low movement speed.

Hmm... I may disable it for heroes but can you give the reason why I should disable it?

well

1. gangs would become silly drop 3 heroes on some1s head from out of nowhere
2. Think of it as evolution.. (we talking real life now) people didnt have transport and every1 walked now that there is transport every1 uses it.. what im getting at is people will have a zep right behind their tower and then will be able to obtain runes with almost no consequence of getting ganged as both runes are sided with mountains = quick FoW get away.
3. Travelling to base will be to easy

i'd love a transport if i can ride it. but it's too imbalanced so i'll say t-down. transports only looks cool in RPG maps.

Dropping from transport isn't sound silly for me. Also, you'll know that someone is coming for ganking if you see the transport instead of hero itself.

This zep travels slowly. Also it only has 200 hp which can be easily killed. There are lot of ways for escaping near the runes and enemies will takes time to approach it. It is safe for most of the case...

I don't think this will be problem. The one I think will be a problem is your 2nd one. Even we travel to other's base, so what? We can't destroy enemies items now. We can't take it away either. what you not getting is that because its flying it can hover over trees in FoW and then BAM comes out drops units on enemies heads every1 ultis returns to base

Travelling to your own base is what i meant.. and now that you mention enemies, late game all towers down your team dies you can easily get back in no time.. Thats what makes furion, furion.. his unique ability to get to base and other places quickly

Ok, so what's the point of being able to carry 8 units at once while they ride a slow and fragile transport?

Ok, now this can carry only "1" hero. But can carry other units...

I mean it isn't fast enough to make a hero goes in and out crazily...

Also this can makes unit flies ^^


Edit : I've added a casting delay for load and unload so this will be less imbalance

hmmm its getting better.. but no matter how balanced you make it in my head it still says unbalanced its like my brain starts calculating a million ways why this wont work.. sorry dude ill give it a null

So you make units have 0 collision and be unable to be targeted by spells once the transporter picks them up?

Hmm... What?! Picked unit can't be targeted at all unless they destroy the tranporter. Also, we don't make the unit have 0 collision but sky barge is "flying" not the unit...

I would prefer this idea as a mode or even better, a new feature for the map

But as an item ... It gives too much more than its cost

And when the unit rides the barge he becomes 0 collision also, am i right?

which means, he turns into a flying unit because he is inside a flying unit.

So that means i can fly away above cliffs and trees and not be able to get hit by skills and i can even live because if the barge is destroyed, i'll just fall off the ground and live. being covered with trees or stuck in a fog covered cliff while i ask my crow to bring my tp or ezalor to recall me to base.
