asam, rather than making the potal go underground, make it 50-75% transparent and don't bother tinting it. I think that might look better.

Wow, this was revived from DA.... the one with the dark orbs is nice, also if possible the huge vampiric aura would fit too, well most of the stuff here seems nice and ANY effect added can help.

I'm back; this time, with a testmap and photos to catch your attention.
Pit Lord starts casting Dark Portal. ![]() The circle is created, and we can see who was designated as the guy to teleport to. Notice the 3 as well. ![]() Numbers decrease, telling you how much longer it will take before Pit Lord teleports. ![]() Giant storm of purple stuff explodes and Pit Lord disappears. ![]() The Pit Lord humps his victim. ![]() I tried to scale the aura model so it'd accurately represent who gets pulled in. I'm starting to realize I should have done it with a few units around, but I already coded a bunch just to get the spell to work right and include a nice goodie to boot. As always, testmap is provided.

The size is due to a bit of music I imported into the map. Of course, it was rather crudely done and it's not necessary for the actual spell.

If anyone can do this, please do it. cause right now, i know like 0% about triggering(that portal's just a doodad)
1. Portal instantly appears underneath pitlord when casted. 2. Portal lasts for as long as the skill's duration is. 3. Portal shows the death animation when the time ends and units gets teleported. I know it's easy, but since i'm dumbfounded at the world editor, how can it be possibly easy to me?

I have some idea...
1. Make a model with rotated Dark Portal so it will be parallel to land, and make its radius same as Dark Rift aoe. 2. When Pitlord casts Dark Rift, this portal model appears over him on height ~400~600. 3. Portal will lose it height while casting time, so it must take 6/5/4 seconds to get on land. 4. After this portal explodes (or closes) and all heroes are teleported. |
