Question [INT-NEUT] Morthos - The Living Piece ( A copy )


HAHA HI EVERYONE! MEET MY NEW HERO IDEA MORTHOS!


Changelogs:

April 5 - Created Morthos
April 6 - Edited And Added [Img] And [/Img], also added hero icon.
April 7 - Created Changelogs and Converted All Quotes into Spoilers.
April 8 - Edited and Added colors, and Applyed Skill Icons Of The Piece.
April 10 - Removed Some Words Of The Background Story and Changed icons for piece skill's

Morthos - The Living Piece

Background Story: Morthos, unlike most other Kings, was a good ruler, and vowed to govern his lands with justice and fairness. Morthos prospered. But, as the years grew longer, ruling a kingdom was not enough to satisfy the constantly working mind of the king. He needed something more to appease his thirst for a challenge for his brain. He happened upon chess, and sat there for years, withering away, letting the kingdom fall into turmoil. Having had enough, an embittered sorceress stormed his castle and sought vengeance. Since he had become so attached to his games, she made him into sort of chess piece himself, a King able to command other chess pieces but no longer his subjects. Having lost his kingdom, Morthos has thrown himself into a fight, both because he hopes to redeem his soul and because he can do little else now but play chess, and fight.

Living Piece
Living Piece - By Applying this skill, All three skill slots of the hero will be taken.Each level affects the level of each skills each skills.Also Each level affects differently on each pieces.




Level 1 - All Piece has the Ability of White and Black. On the day all piece are invisible, While on the night all piece are visible but deals 5% more damage, increases 5% per level of this skill.
Level 2 - All Piece will gain the skill of Righteous Revenge, When a Piece is destroyed.The unit who destroyed the piece will take 90 damage, damage increases by 20 per level of this skill.
Level 3 - All Piece will gain the skill of Hard Phase, All piece will gain immunity to all spells.
Level 4 - All Piece will gain the skill of Relinquished Form, Every time that a piece is destroyed 10% of Max Hp of the piece will heal Morthos.

MANACOST: N/A
COOLDOWN: N/A
Framework: No visuals

Okay this skill is kinda confusing, After putting skill points on this skill, This skill will not show up but three new available skills will show up. Looks like Raze huh?
For the first skill slot is

Mystical Pawn (Q) - Instantly summons 2 pawns in the targeted area, Pawns Does not move from its place.Last 45 seconds at all levels.
Level 1 - Pawns deals 11-23 damage, Has a 100 Hp.
Level 2 - Pawns deals 24-32 damage, Has a 120 Hp.
Level 3 - Pawns deals 33-45 damage, Has a 140 Hp.
Level 4 - Pawns deals 46-54 damage, Has a 160 Hp.


-Damage type is Piercing
-Has a 1.54 attack Speed

Mana Cost - 50 at all levels
Cooldown - N/A


(Huh, N/A Cooldown? Are you joking?!)


(Answer is no , I am not joking because once you use this skill , The skill will change to Jumping Horse,Hotkey is the same with Mystical Pawn)




Jumping Horse (Q)


This skill is only available after using Mystical Pawn.This Piece Has a ability to jump off to Enemy hero units.Has a 600Area of Sight, Lasts until this piece damages a Hero.

Hero that will receive the last jump will get slowed by 35% which lasts 3 seconds.

Level 1 - Can Jump Enemy Heroes 2 times, Each jumps deals , 45 damage.

Level 2 - Can Jump Enemy Heroes 3 times, Each jump deals, 50 damage.
Level 3 - Can Jump Enemy Heroes 4 times ,Maximum 3 jumps to each hero, Each jump deals 55 damage.


Level 4 - Can Jump Enemy Heroes 5 times, Maximum 3 times per Hero, Each jump deals 60 Damage.


Manacost - 50/60/70/80
Cooldown - 10 seconds.



-Ward
-Has a 250 Hp Every Level


-Jumps the nearest enemy hero near its sight-Needs 1 seconds before reacting, (Means has a 1 second casting time before jumping to the hero)

-After cooling down, this skill will revert back to Mystical Pawn.


(Omnislash huh?, hehe this is a ward type Omnislash, read carefully before reacting.)

Okay now now, this skill is for the second slot.


Explosive Rook (W)
Morthos place a Rook on the Targeted area, Has a 600 Area of sight.
Level 1 - If an enemy unit goes inside the Area, Rook will explode and damages all enemy units in the area, Deals 100 damage.
Level 2 - If an enemy unit goes inside the Area, Rook will explode and damages all enemy units in the area, Deals 125 damage.
Level 3 - If an enemy unit goes inside the Area, Rook will explode and damages all enemy units in the area, Deals 150 damage.
Level 4 - If an enemy unit goes inside the Area, Rook will explode and damages all enemy units in the area, Deals 175 damage.

-Ward

-Has a 600 Area of Sight
-Needs 1 second before Exploding
-Last until it explodes

-Can Plant up to 15 Piece
-Has a 300 Hp

Manacost - 65/75/85/95
Cooldown - 8 Seconds





For the third Slot



Arcanic Bishop (E)






Place a Bishop piece on the targeted Area , Bishop is a ward,
Bishop has a 600 Area of Sight, Pulls the unit to its side.Pulling is at 522 Speed.Upon Collision deals damage.


Level 1 - The very First enemy Hero unit that comes in the area Of sight of the bishop will get pulled by its side.Collision damage to the bishop is 105.


Level 2 - The very First enemy Hero unit that comes in the area Of sight of the bishop will get pulled by its side.Collision damage to the bishop is 135.

Level 3 - The very First enemy Hero unit that comes in the area Of sight of the bishop will get pulled by its side.Collision damage to the bishop is 155.
Level 4 - The very First enemy Hero unit that comes in the area Of sight of the bishop will get pulled by its side.Collision damage to the bishop is 185.





-Upon colliding to the bishop, the bishop will disappear

-Has a 300 Hp


-Can plant up to 15 pieces
-Needs 3 seconds before reacting.(Means the enemy hero must stay inside the to its Area of sight for 3 seconds before he gets pulled)

-If there is a obstacle bishop cannot pull the unit.

-Trees are not counted as a obstacle.It destroys trees.

-Unit that have been pulled by the bishop will not be able to get pulled again by 4 seconds.



Manacost - 130 at all levels

Cooldown - 12 Seconds



Black And White- All Pieces In The Day Will Be invisible, While on the night all piece are visible but deals 5% more damage, increases 5% per level of this skill.

Righteous Revenge- When A Piece is destroyed.The unit who destroyed the piece will take 90 damage, damage increases by 20 per level of this skill.


Hard Phase- All piece will gain immunity to all spells.

Relinquished Form- Every time that a piece is destroyed 10% of Max Hp of the piece will heal Morthos.











Thats the first skill, The Second and Third skill will appear in the subskill slot.

Glorious Queen
Glorious Queen - Every time that a unit cast a spell, it will gain different effect,Does apply to Morthos. Has a 700 AoE.


Level 1 - Enemy unit that casts a spell will take 45 and get slowed by 3% Lasts 4 seconds, stacks 3 times. Ally unit will gain 10% MoveSpeed and Attackspeed, 15% For Morthos.Lasts 4 seconds.

Level 2


- Enemy unit that casts a spell will take 55 and get slowed by 6% Lasts 4 seconds, stacks 3 times. Ally unit will gain 15% MoveSpeed and Attackspeed, 20% For Morthos.Last 4 seconds. Level 3 - Enemy unit that casts a spell will take 60 and get slowed by 9% Lasts 4 seconds, stacks 3 times. Ally unit will gain 20% MoveSpeed and Attackspeed, 25% For Morthos.Last 4 seconds.

Level 4 - Enemy unit that casts a spell will take 65 and get slowed by 12% Lasts 4 seconds, stacks 3 times. Ally unit will gain 25% MoveSpeed and Attackspeed, 30% For Morthos.Last 4 seconds.



MANACOST: Passive


COOLDOWN: Passive




Framework: Yellow light will fall from the sky and hits the unit that has casted a spell.

Skill Discussion:

This skill is passive which affect heroes that uses skill, applies to morthos.


Enemy units will have negative effects while Ally unit gains positive effects, Simple as that.




*Does not trigger Spells like, Frost arrow, Searing arrows etc etc.




Majestic Shiftings
Majestic Shiftings - If the nearest piece has collided with the other piece, the collided piece will also go to the place of Morthos, Can bring 3 Piece at a time.

Level 1 - Has a 40 second cooldown, Switch to the nearest piece in 1000Area around Morthos.

Level 2 - Has a 35 second cooldown, Switch to the nearest piece in 1000Area around Morthos.


Level 3 - Has a 25 second cooldown, Switch to the nearest piece in 1000Area around Morthos.
Level 4 - Has a 20 second cooldown, Switch to the nearest piece in 1000Area around Morthos.



MANACOST: 100

COOLDOWN: N/A


Framework: Orange line will link Morthos and the nearest piece.





Skill Discussion:

Skill Discussion:

This skill allows Morthos Escape Instantly while making enemies that are chasing him suffer.


Can bring 3 piece at a time, if the nearest piece is with other piece.



Checkmate

Checkmate - Summons pieces around the targeted enemy.All pieces has a 1 second casting time before reacting.Unit will be trapped and cannot move because of the collision size of the pawns.


Level 1 - Summons 4 pawns.

Level 2


- Summons 4 pawns, 2 Rooks.
Level 3 - Summons 4 pawns, 2 Rooks and 2 Horse.

MANACOST: 240/230/220 (220/210/200 w/ Scepter)

COOLDOWN: 200/190/180 (160 w/Scepter)



Framework: Orange Blinding light effect around the target.

Here is the diagram of the Check Mate



Can only target one hero, Target can attack and use skill, if the target has no escaping ability he must destroy one pawn to get out. All piece that are summoned has 1 second to react.(Means they are delayed by 1 second, Like Rooks take 1 second before exploding)

Note - Within 20 seconds cannot target the same enemy with this skill.

Good in Soloing
Good in Farming

Good in Early Game
Good against nukers
Good in Ambushing Heroes






CONS

Bad Str and Agi gain
Bad at tanking

Paper hero
Needs a lot of mana when using skills
Most likely to be killed first at Clashing (Ganks)



Synergies

Stack Up Rooks

(Stack some rooks and when you are in danger use majestic shiftings)


Come On Blast

(Hide rooks and bishop in the same area in the jungle, When the bishop pull the target, rooks will explode at the same time the target will take damage from bishop)


Who got a pawn?

(The same with the other combo but adding some pawn, which if they destroyed it they will get damaged and heals morthos.)


The Great Escape

(When you are in danger and The majestic shiftings is in cooldown mode use this combination, Pawn = Delay, Horse = Slow+damage , Rook = Damage, Wait for the cooldown of Majestic Shiftings and in no time, Bye bye ^^)


There are many synergies that this hero can use, it depends on the situation, Also checkmate synergies well with other skills, But not in Majestic Shiftings.


Strategic Thinking is what we need,

This hero sounds interesting to play and like a lot work to think about all this. But have you thought about the models for all those summons? How do they look like? You should reduce the size of the background story. Normal background stories have about a maximum of 100 words, with some exceptions, e.g. Invoker. What missile and soundset do you want to give the hero? I need to say, I like the suggested icon colors. There is no real scheme, but they look really nice together. I really don't get why I'm the only one until now who commented this hero. Oh, and maybe change the hero title. 'Living Piece' sounds a bit strange to me.

The models i'm creating a model of the summons(progressing)

Very interesting hero, I would like to see him in DotA. Really, he can use endless strategies with the Pieces. Can't wait to use him ingame. Great t-up!
