Thumbs up [GAMEMODE] Pubtour


Here is a new picking mode i´d like to present:
-pt
"After a long and awsome Pubtour a few (drunken) heros got lost in your base"
  • one hero of each Taverne randomed into a pool
  • Sentinel and Scourge have separate pools
  • all mates use/share this hero-pool
  • the team can create a strategy
  • more teamplay orientated
  • could also be called pubdraft -pd
  • kind of mixture of common modes (-ap),-sd,-ar and -rd




Since Ice got "rid" of neutral taverns this mode isnt up-to-date anymore. But how could this beloved picking mode convertet to the current tavern-layout?
  • drop the line for the 3 neutral choices?
  • every player can chose 1 ot of 6 heros (from sent/scourge)?
  • the neutral-choices will be substitudes by 3 total randomed heros?


Available Heros randomed from each Tavern:
(pickable e.g.: @ Tree Of Life/ Frozen Throne)
Hero Pool
STR
AGI
INT
Sentinel
RANDOM
Scourge
everyone of your team can pick one of these, so there will be 4 heros left if u play 5v5.


so ur team will get 1 hero of each taverne, which are chooseable at fountain for example. that seems a bit like -sd but u and ur mates can see all 9 avaiable heros and will think about a team strategy. so its more teamplay orientated.







dudes, this is canceld

an addional option/suggestion could be:
-ptx : extended pt
  • everyone starts with 0 Gold (they drunk too much )
  • each hero starts with a pint of beer (consumable like bottle, w/o refill or rune store ability)
[Pint of Beer]:
3 Charges/toast/boozes; resores 125 HP & 75 MP over 3 sec
(optional effect: 3 sec 20% evade attacks then 3sec 20% miss attacks)...something like that ^^

well of course its improveable, so it can be used as a funmode...


--> may be we´ll see it in future dota

of course,
the focus is on -pt, it´s a kind of average of the most common public modes -ap,-ar,-sd
so you can say it will fill gap between these three modes (i think so).

I doubt pubs will chose this over AP

They hate it when vengeful or troll are not available.

But good mode and I will love to play it!

Sounds like fun. T-UP for mode and NULL vote for extended. I guess, this is supposed to be "hard mode", like item drop or something.

i think its not easy to make a forecast how this pick-mode will influence the subsequent game. but i´m quite sure it will open new aspects of playing.

on the one hand, it could cause problems in low-level public game, where everyone wants to play clinckz, traxex or ursa. but who knows.
and on the other hand it will improve flexibility and strategy skills of upcoming dota player, maybe their teamplay skills as well.

therefore i suggest an cooldown of 15-25 sec before u can pick your hero.


so far to keep my mode suggestion interesting

I don't see any problems at all in including new modes.
T- UP for "-pt".I dislike the additional "-ptx" thing.Its not that good imho.
