Default [VISUAL REMAKE] Rhasta's Shackle


Problem :

Rhasta's Shackle doesn't really fit Rhasta's theme and the animation is overused by Batrider's Flaming Lasso


Solution :
Rhasta is a shaman. So I think some kind of curses are suited for him

Still finding suitable name and icons (I hope something green so that it can fit Red-Green-Green-Red color theme)

Icons :

Rhasta will play this animation for the duration (Stand Channel)



Some Possible Animation on enemy unit:

- Having green shadow-wave type (mana burn) link



- AbilitiesSpellsOrcEtherealFormSpiritWalkerChange.m dl

- AbilitiesSpellsOtherGeneralAuraTargetGeneralAuraTa rget.mdl (green tint)

- Mana Flare Buff Effect (Picture below. Credits to virtviuz)

Maybe this animation in a loop on the enemy hero?

I like the idea of using Rhasta's dancing animation.

Or if you want something green, maybe this?

But I have no idea about the icon.

Hmm.... 1st one looks rather stone-like. But looks good

2nd one is simple but looks ok.

Still finding for better animation

Shadow Wave:-----------I cannot really visualize a green Shadow Wave without some sort of screenshot. Even though I can code it myself :P

SpiritWalkerChange:-----Isn't that already used on Medusa's Stone Gaze?

GeneralAuraTarget:------Will that even be seen under the target's hero glow? And it looks damn ugly anyways.

I honestly think Shackle looks fine, doesn't matter if it's shared with Flaming Lasso.

i like the idea. i like the channel animation.

but u planing to keep the binding look or to something like a debuff look(like bane's ult)? but with different animation of course. i prefer a debuff that look like he is "cursed", as you stated that you where going for a cursed look.

here is some suggestion names. with "e" for the same hot keys.

a cursed skill name.
-ordeal
-vexation
-infelicity

a binding skill name.
-keep the same
-restraint
-restrict

get some ideas flowing. like to see this suggestion develop to something really nice.

Try using the mana flare buff (the green one). It has a rotating runic circle look the gives the impression that something is being bound.

Screenshot: 1st one shows a unit with 3x the effect attach to it while 2nd shows a unit with only one attach to it. I attached the effect to the unit's chest.



A green flare like effect can also be added to show that the unit is being damaged while bound.

I love the channeling animation but you should still use a link or something, allies would have a hard time seeing who you choked if you make it like bane's grip. T-up on animation.

Yeah, I've thought about that animation also. Anyway, thx 4 the screenies.

@PapaXong : I haven't decided whether the animation will be link-like or fiend's grip like.

@Others : I'm not that expert on making test map. I'll try but don't expect too much from me. xD

Is it overusing when there is only one another spell with the same animation? I guess, not.
Btw, I want to see the real Rasta using the new animation onto a unit. Just to feel it, so to speak.

I can't image that it will look nice with bigger heroes, e.g. Centaur.

I reckon the lightning effect must stay, as it allows allies to know ALOT better when they're shackled. I like the idea of using a different casting animation, Shadow Shaman's got 4 skills all using the same casting animation when he's got like tonnes of good ones.
