Lightbulb [BUFF]King Leoric Reincarnation


I need test maps, with effects, such as fire exploding, etc... If someone could do it, i'll be glad to give the credits here!

When killed the Skeleton King will come back from hell to torment enemies one more time.

3100140 seconds450N/AN/ASelf Revives Skeleton King, with a delay of 4 seconds. The selectable area is 450.


Notes:
• Will revive even if silenced on death.
• Will not revive if Skeleton King does not have required mana.
• Will not revive if he dies on unpathable terrain.
• If Skeleton King has an Aegis and Reincarnation is cooled down upon death, Reincarnation will trigger first.
• Revives with full HP and full mana.
•Leoric will be able to target the reincarnation place.
The selectable area is 450
•The animation will be Pit Lord's expulsion but much smaller...
•When he dies, a invisible and invunerable ghost will appear to select the place... Where the ghost stands Leoric will reincarnate! You have to walk to the place you're going to reborn! If the path leaves the AoE, you can't reach the place.
•A gem/sentry counter this!.

Why this change?
It will break that state when SK dies nearby the whole enemy team and can't do nothing to survive. But is limited by the AoE and the invisible cross.

I don't know... It should be nice a Xs immobilize where he died and where he appear. X = The delay of the dying and the reincanate. Something like, hell hands holds enemies in the place to help Sk escape if needed to.

I have a bad feeling about any suggestion to give Leoric an active skill. If you come to think about it, perhaps the defining characteristic of Leoric is that his single active skill is the no-brainer storm bolt. Currently DotA needs more simple stuff right now, not the opposite.

His ultimate has also been fine like it is for ages, and changing it would break the nice symmetry with Aegis.

It's still one active skill... The only difference is that this is active while he is "dead". And it's nothing complicated, it's just one target after dead.

And thank you Dynes! I'll wait a little more to think in buff the aoe, cause it can't be too overpower without increasing manacost!

So does Leoric use his summoning circle to use this ability or what? No unit is selectable when he is dead so how would you use this?

I don't know the mechanic of WC3, but I think that is codeable if create a dummy unit that cast the reincarnation... Or maybe making Leoric become a invunerable, invisible unit, while he is dead! So he can cast it!

Excellent concept and T- up for the buff. This really should solve a major Leoric problem of getting ganged and raped.
The skill coding for this is not going to be easy though. Good luck on that.

Leoric, dying? Pfft, by the time it happens, there shouldn't be enough of them left that you want to run away.

In all seriousness though, it seems like a solid idea, and does help solve the problem of Reincarnation becoming redundant during grouped ganks.

But what if you are a Pirate, and have a hook for a left hand?
Giving Leoric two separate hotkeys would ruin DotA for all those pirates!

What if instead of targeting the location with an invisible cross, just make so that when you die you automatically gain control (and select) the little tombstone thing and are able to move it a bit sideways. The respawn radius would be limited by the tombstone move speed and the overall "user interface" would be very intuitive.

I know that the original point was to allow Leoric to be a little sneaky, but sneakyness is for wimps like Rikimaru. The manliest hero in DotA doesn't need to hide from anyone. And it isn't like being sneaky would really help those times when there is the whole enemy team camping at the respawn spot anyway.

So... make a new thread, then post your suggestion there.

When Leoric gets killed, chances are, he'll be killed again moments after.

The invisible respawn point at least reduces that chance by .0001%.

Dynes just answered for me! And I agree with he...

This remake is not made to give he a sneak escape, just to increase the chance he will escape when dying near 5 enemies. The 4s is enough to finish many skills cd and kill him...
