Default [REMAKE] Doom's Scorched Earth


Quick Topic.

As the title says. New Treant has the ability to "heal" the towers, so Doom should have ability to "burn" them. Why doom and not some other hero? Because Doom was used to destroy trees with his fire! My suggestion is only:

Red letters are my suggestion.
Quote:
Scorched Earth

Blankets the ground in flames, damaging enemies, towers and healing the Doombringer. Also increases Lucifer's attack and movement speed.
Lasts 20 seconds.

Level 1 - 1 damage/health a second, 10% increased speed.
Level 2 - 2 damage/health a second, 15% increased speed.
Level 3 - 3 damage/health a second, 20% increased speed.
Level 4 - 4 damage/health a second, 30% increased speed.

Cooldown: 10 seconds.
Thoughts?

Basicly, at lvl 4 it'll be 80 hp damage to tower over 20 sec.

how does treant heal towers? O.o
still the idea is quite interesting, but it should be really balansed with the hipotetical "healing"

i want to know how its work for tower,

its damage type reduce regen tower 4/sec

or instant damage like 80 HP (its look like pugna typically damage)

Not to be rude, but do you play the game? Go into single player, chose Treant, and cast Vines at tower. You'll see them healing.

It seems logical, its a nice little extra damage when you throw down that scorched earth when attacking a tower with creeps, so 5/5.

I just tested a single player, and it doesn't stack on creeps. So it mean, it doesn't stack on towers.

ok its not bad imo, if we compare damage to pugna (100 damage) to a tower. maybe i can make addition on your suggest to cd its much better like be 12 sec and less mana cost

Nice idea!!Now you can deal -40 damage Snarpel on towers and with not too much efficiency..
But I think it should also reduce slightly the armor,like -1-1/-2/-2...yes then it would be totally awesome and viable to assault cuirass the towers

anyway,that poor farming-only doom needs a buff. t-up

I see very few people leveling this skill up in early game. After a certain while, 80 damage won't matter, and one aspect you shouldn't forget either is that there's a chance you make it insanely easy for your opponent to deny the tower, if badly timed.

Don't cast it to last hit, only to lower its hp.

I level it up with LvL death. I thought it was normal.

Don't really make that difference... i don't know if this is that great but as you seem it lasts 20 seconds and the cooldown is 10, so you can make more than 80 damge in that 20 seconds. I usually use that power to run after my enemies or when we go to a super epic fight in the middle of the river with a 5x5 match and my attack speed goes like "you are all dead". Anyway it's one of the last powers i think people usually pay (Level 10,12,13,14) so when you reach that level the game is decided by an awesome rush in a tower and not just you with your power that is going to give 120 damge in 20 seconds.
I approve your idea although it wouldn't make a difference for me.

3/5.. for making scorched earth moar useful.
although i still think casting it at enemy base (Where all the structures are compressed) for backdoor purposes is kinda unfair for others

The damage is so small that it is not noticable, so I don't think Icefrog would waste the time to do this, unless it doesn't take long. Doom is already strong enough. I usually like your Suggestions Cp6 but this one is Null. Hope you don't take that to offense.

Generally, SE is going to be cast on a tower when Doom is standing there attacking it trying to finish it off, using the IAS to bring it down. The minor bonus is quite nice.

T-Up. 80ph off a tower at level 4 is really nothing but defiantly useful to stop them from denying the tower or last hitting it at a range from your creeps.

Wait, since when do zig's burn (remember, sentinal cn choose doom too)

And there are already dmg'ing effects to towers (DK's level 1 ult, Bear)

Otherwise neutral vote, im not convinced this is necessary

useless... i mean eighty dmg over twenty secs? why even bother with that... besides, as already mentioned, noone lvls scorched earth early on... and later on it simply doesnt matter if the tower gets 80 more dmg... the tower will worry more about dooms ~80 regular hitting-dmg. killing the tower with scorched earth without endangering urself? now who thinks this is a good tactic must be pretty dumb tbh.. if theres an enemy present he will deny it with ease, if not u just coulda taken a step forward and lasthitted the tower. no offense, but if i would make suggestions, id try to make one that actually changes anything, preferably change a skill on a hero that NEEDS tweaking, like sniper alch etc. even if icefrog has a lot of spare time for dota, i doubt he has the time to implement every useless change someone proposes.

even though, that's not gonna change my skillbuild maybe some early game pushing strategy could make use of this (I kinda doubt it though)
question: If I do scortched earth near enemy tower & I am in it's range but I'm attacking creeps while my creeps attack the tower (or something like that), will the tower aim for me as being at active attacker (because of se) or it will ignore me & only focus on the creeps that are actually attacking him ?

I like the sound of it, but that wouldn't be so useful. Lucifer use ES for IAS to take down towers by normal hits, so it would be a lot better if it reduces tower armor intead of dealing DoT (maybe even have both effects).
Still any buff to Lucifer is good. T-UP.
