Thumbs up Let Sonic Wave be more than just a simple AoE nuke




Sonic Wave

Creates a gigantic wave of sound which deals heavy damage to all units in a line.

Level 1 - Deals 240-340 (290-390*) damage. The closer the units are, the greater the damage
Level 2 - Deals 370-490 (470-590*) damage. The closer the units are, the greater the damage
Level 3 - Deals 530-670 (655-795*) damage. The closer the units are, the greater the damage

In Depth Explanation
• Damage type: magical
• Can be improved by Aghanim's Scepter (* shows the improved values).

• Now it is concept-wise because a sound's volume decrease as it moves farther and farther.
• Also, it now synergizes more with blink


How is the damage applied?
Without Aghanims

Level 1 - 340 damage (000 - 275 units). 290 damage (275 - 525 units). 240 damage (525 - 800 units). Damage decreases by 50
Level 2 - 490 damage (000 - 275 units). 430 damage (275 - 525 units). 370 damage (525 - 800 units). Damage decreases by 60
Level 3 - 670 damage (000 - 275 units). 600 damage (275 - 525 units). 530 damage (525 - 800 units). Damage decreases by 70

With Aghanims

Level 1 - 390 damage (000 - 275 units). 340 damage (275 - 525 units). 290 damage (525 - 800 units). Damage decreases by 50
Level 2 - 590 damage (000 - 275 units). 530 damage (275 - 525 units). 470 damage (525 - 800 units). Damage decreases by 60
Level 3 - 795 damage (000 - 275 units). 725 damage (275 - 525 units). 655 damage (525 - 800 units). Damage decreases by 70


Cooldown: 130(100/70/40*) sec
Mana Cost: 250/350/500

Akasha doesn't need a buff. Plus this is IMBA!
No it is not. Parts of it are buffed, yes, but parts of it are also nerfed, so no harm done. Can't see/understand it? See below.

• Units who are close (000 - 275 units) now receives more damage than before; But take note that its starting AoE is 100
• Units in the "middle way" (275 - 525 units) take the same damage just like before;
• And units who are far away (525 - 800 units) now take less damage than before. Balanced.

I was thinking... There should be a great difference in nuclear abilities , and if Sonic Wave silenced it would be an effective way of giving the player the option to use it first in combat. Thematically I think Queen of Pain can be simplified into essential mechanics, and having Scream of Pain and Sonic Wave is quite a conundrum. Added to my argument, there are two instances of AoE silence.

I believe Queen of Pain should strike enemies at melee with her daggers. There are some things in the game that don't make sense to me at all, like Viper spitting phlem and Necrolytes poor Sadist ability that makes me want to add more realism and dynamic to the game. Eventually I'll probably supercede that argument and denounce that the game should be more static.

I think it is a good idea, synergies well with slow, with blink and her mobile playstyle. A simple T-Up, but i still think she needs something unique. I would suggest adding something like a temporarly defense increase or something on her blink, but that have nothing to do with this topic.

Good easy suggestion. No complicated stuff, easy to code and fits her really well. T-up.

Me likes, makes her blinking in more dangerous than enemy think and also makes it better to land alongside with Scream of Pain.
