Default [Remake]Sanity's Eclipse


Because I dislike all the other SE suggestions, here is mine:


Here's the link in case you don't know this spell: Obsidian Destroyer - DotA Hero Details

Add Sanity's Eclipse to Aghanims Scepter:

Two possible effects:
1. Deals damage according to the difference between enemy's and
Destroyer's INT x8/x9/x10

2. Deals damage according to the difference between 20%/30%/40% of the enemy's (no this doesnt get higher with spell level, just choose one -.-') and
Destroyer's INT x8/x9/x10


Basically the same concept in both options, with a significant change in #2 though.

The stupid mana removal Part would have to be removed once you get Scepter simultaneously. I hate it anyway.
Would also make you choose between a weapon that deals moderate damage and sometimes removes mana and a weapon that simply deals more damage (this phenomenon is called versatility)

Reasoning (reading this is actually important):
Right now, Obsidian is a piece of shit. He has no reliable escape mechanism, a shitty health pool which he is supposed to autoattack in teambattles with though. The next problem is that he needs masses of all three main stats: Mana (for Arcane Orb), Health (to survive with his shitty base stats and armor) and his main attribute (for his ult and some extra mana).
The old Scepter was great because it had all these things combined in itself. With its current stats, it is a motherfuckin slotwaste for OD, so now need to farm a load of all kinds of items to get decent results.
By adding OD to Scepter, it would STILL be a slotwaste stat-wise, but at least his ulti would actually not be there for only the mana removal and the visuals.
In the current metagame, you dont have the time to farm 6 slots full of items, so SE's damage mostly stays ridiculously low, yet with a higher cooldown than for example Echo Stomp, which is furthermore useful throughout the whole game.

1st possibility:
OD's INT at:
+ lvl 6: 40 => 40x8=320
+ lvl 11: 54 => 54x9=486
+ lvl 16: 68 => 68x10=680
+ lvl 25: 93.2 => 93.2x10=932
Sum: a bit too strong for me

2nd possibility: (the choice is 20%)
INT of Troll or PA at:
+ lvl 6: 18 => (40-20%x18)x8=291.2
+ lvl 11: 23 => (54-20%x23)x9=444.6
+ lvl 16: 28 => (68-20%x28)x10=624
+ lvl 25: 37 => (93.2-20%x37)x10=858

INT of Pugna at:
+ lvl 6: 46 => (40-20%x46)x8=246.4
+ lvl 11: 66 => (54-20%x66)x9=367.2
+ lvl 16: 86 => (68-20%x86)x10=508
+ lvl 25: 122 => (93.2-20%x122)x10=688

sanity's eclipse meant to be an initiating ability because of the manaburn that fuck off caster that want to be smarter than him, and deal damage to enemy that is more stupid than him. so don't remake him, just tweak the numbers and he's fine.

WOW cool suggestion bro, i wonder where you got your ideas from?

Your first suggestion is exactly like mine, only that you made it very imba with 8/9/10 multi.

You even suggested to remove the mana removal part, exactly like me.

I wouldn't mind you using my suggestion, but you wrote that you didn't like all the other suggestions, so why use it?

My suggestion is right below yours, with the exact same name, so i guess it was pretty hard for you to miss it.

And my optional suggestion cannot be compared to yours at all as the involved mathcraft would make your nubhead explode.

Do you seriously think that 8/9/10 of OD's int alone is not op?
and btw, i also suggested to add sanity's to scepter in another thread, so you just owned yourself there.

I don't really care what you post or what ideas you steal, after all i just want Sanity's eclipse to be buffed.

But i find it funny how you "didn't like all the other suggestions" and yet stole every idea from me.

Your second suggestion is just plain bad, SE is annoying enough to calculate right now during a game, you don't need to add percentages to it.
what you could suggest to fix that, is some sort of cosmetic suggestion that will show the damage that would be dealt if SE is used, before it's used (but why bother, the suggestion is bad anyway).

If you want to use #1 suggestion, you should reduce the multiplication factor.

#2 suggestion sounds good to me but still need reduction

@kanzakill : your calculation doesn't count it's build. Try to calculate with +22 int (1tread and 2 null, which is pretty possible). It needs number balances.

Your Aghanims thread probably got closed because noone seems to fuckin care about it, its not even in your sig. So after all, my idea is not stolen. Get off your high horse, nigga wouldnt even steal your bike.
And neither does anyone care whether you are too stupid to calculate Sanity's Eclipse damage with my second suggestion

Im not sure whether #2 would actually be imba, even with 20%.
The damage wouldnt change against agi/strength heroes very much, as their intelligence is low anyway. Its mainly a counter to the high int values of, well, int heroes, which makes up for a huge change in damage. Moreover, the cooldown on this ult is still high as hell and Scepter doesnt really give you much except for pumping up your ult.
And farming aint easy these days.

Remove mana-eating mechanism from ulti? Are you kidding me? This is the best part of this ulti: What can (e.g.) rhasta do with 500 mana? (if he has 2k max mp he lose 1.5kmp when hit by current OD ulti) -> no refresh, and no chain-disable possibility.
Sanity Eclipse is good enough now, and it doesn`t need ay buff.
