Default [Remake] Culling Blade

Fixed thanks to many feedbacks


Current skill: Axe - DotA Hero Details

Reasons:
+ It's a ks skill, not team-oriented
+ It fits "Killing Blade" more than "Culling Blade"

Proposal:

Culling Blade
Culls the weak from Mogul Kahn's sight. Deals moderate damage, but will guarantee the death of the cull that is low on life.

(yup, plural noun)

Effects:
+ AoE: 150~200
+ Deals 100/200/250 pure damage to units
Then check the if target's health is below 200/250/375. If true then stun completely disable the target for 5 seconds, remove all buffs on it and reduce its health to 1 (it won't regenerate health).
+ While being disabled by this skill, the target can't be affected by creeps' attacks, towers and its allies.
+ If the target is killed by one of Axe's allies during that 5 seconds, the kill's reward goes to that ally.
+ If the target survives that 5 seconds (which is really rare), kill it. The kill's reward goes to Axe.

Translation:
+ It's as much the same as the current Culling Blade. But instead of killing the unit instantly, it guarantee the death of that unit. To kill it or give it to your allies is up to you. It is GUARANTEED to die anyway.
+ Moreover, it's now AoE.

Now it fits more with the name "Culling Blade": picking out the inferior beings to kill them later or let them die on themselves
And instead of a kill-stealing skill, it would become a kill-sharing skill

Problems:
+ Complicated? I added the translation
+ Doesn't fit pubs?

Hell, yes. It needs a name change! (Just notice, its sarcasm). Or not Cp6uja?

Regarding what you proposed: I think, it really depends on players if this skill is a killsteal mechanics or just a killing blow finisher. A skill-full player would not use it to ks.
Also, I think your skill is over-complicated right now. But yes, I think Axe has skills which does not fit his role, but your idea does not really solve it, just looks like a nerf for me...

Btw. His battle hunger is even more senseless considering Axe's role or in better phrase: how players currently interpret him.
Though Axe was planned as a lowhp-finisher.

as you notice, axe can't kill alone. yes he can do a lot of damage but he CAN"T any of them without this finale tool. let's say you're playing axe, you dive in clash and tank and spin on 5 heroes. you surely did the most damage on them (comparing to your allies) but you'll only get 1 sure kill even you'd almost sacrifice yourself. don't fix something that's not broken. you should ask for laguna blade, finger of death & reaper scythe remake too..

Axe's a tanker, it's just right for him to sacrifice

The problem is, how often are you going to have more than 1 enemy hero that is below the (now even lower) threshold? Therefore, you are pretty much weakening Culling Blade's kill threshold (ALOT), making it harder to land (its harder to hit with a 150~200 AoE skill than a 300 range single target skill), to give it 250 pure damage (about 1 attack from Kunkka's Tidebringer).

Finally, Culling Blade isn't a KS skill, its a finisher skill. KSing is when you take a kill that you didn't do anything for. If Axe is in Culling Blade range (300), then he probably helped kill the target, not to mention 625 life is fairly high, atleast 30% against any non-tanks, even late game.

But you decreased the hp requirement, which means decrease in killing potential.

I don't think AoE stun is really needed for axe who already has berserker's call.q

T-Down, it's only a KS skill if the player is a KSer.

If Axe uses it in a gank where the enemy would be dead anyways, I'm pretty sure he'll be doing the same if he was Lion, Lina or Zeus. There's nothing wrong with the skill, it's the player that's broken.

edit:- of course Culling an enemy to reduce time spent in enemy territory shouldn't be considered KSing.

its a neat idea, but axe is strong enough as he is. Plus I do not think it is possible for enemies to be completely 'unaffected' by creeps, towers and allies unless you made them invul till the end of the duration.

Above all, he definitely doesn't need changing, so no change will be made.

You mean if the target has 624 hp it is dead?

Anyway Axe is played as semy carry in competitive too, and getting kills isnt that bad.
